Lich Class

I would love to see a quest line that lets players go through the ES lore process of becoming a Lich, to accompany the already available Vampire and Werewolf classes.

The Lich class would of course have benefits and weaknesses just as the other supernatural classes do.

I think that players would really enjoy this added supernatural option.

What do you guys think? Is it something you would like?

Well, the thing about liches is that it should, lore-wise, be only available to top-ranked sorcs. It's only through the use of very powerful necromantic spells that one becomes a lich...

Exactly! I am thinking the same thing. It would make perfect sense that a high top-rank sorc have access to this quest line. So you do think it's feasible?

Not without putting in different hubs for 'supernatural' players. Lore-wise, folks outed as vamps and werewolves get chased out of town by Angry Mobs Bearing Pitchforks. And the fighter's guild. They'd need their own communities first.

Then you get something as obvious as a Lich, when necromancy is seen as a Forbidden Magic by most?

I figure the ability to disguise temporarily as a regular character is a way for a lich to get around, but they must be able to maintain the disguise while in public, or deal with the uproar of the towns people NPCs. I'm sure Zenimax could figure it out.

Haven't seen this class implemented well in any game since Might & Magic 7... But that's something I'd love to see :)

"You wish to become a lich? It's very easy, my friend. Simply find the heart of a lich, combine it with the tongue of a dragon, and cook it with the flesh of a well-ridden horse. This combination is certain to make you undead." M'aiq the Liar
So it's already supported by lore. Unfortunately the dragons near to the ground are invisible. ;)
It would make most sense (to me) as an upper level class morph or skill line for Sorcerers. Seeing a level 2 lich on the starter islands getting killed by a couple of mudcrabs would be humourous.
