@lurkin777 Yes, the time was updated to 6pm. This is a difficult process, so we appreciate everyone's patience as we work through maintenance. We'll update if times changes or we are opening to players. Thanks, all.

Really, apologists should stop making excuses for the dev team. They have an obligation to be able to do these things without booting out paying customers during prime time. How about a side-by-side server setup that you switch folks over to while you update the idle system(s)? that's pretty common in the dev ops world.
I don't get the the people who slam on ZOS for incompetence, not giving an eff, whatever. ZOS is a business. They stay in business by making money. Like businesses all over the world, they offer something in the hopes that enough people will like what they offer enough to hand over some cash. Other than microsoft, who has a virtual monopoly, businesses don't tend to stay in business if their model is "screw over the customer, make them mad at us, and don't give an eff about the product." I have no doubt the fine people working for ZOS care as much, and probably a heck of a lot more, about this game than any of you do. For many of them, this is probably a dream job. I would imagine for most or all, it's more than "just a job." I am sure the extended down time is as unwelcome for them as much as it is for you. Maybe instead of sitting on the message boards complaining, you could, I don't know, go experience the real world this afternoon. Or go play another game. Read a book. Talk to another live, in-person, human being. Be creative. But let's stop the incessant whining about employees who are doing their best to give you a product you are willing to pay for.
Oh.man, I'd hate to live in that reality...xXSilverDragonXx wrote: »I mean, we could always be able to play and then they never upgrade and the game continues to deteriorate until it's utter trash.

I think people should stop complaining for two years about how we were all promised server upgrades that never happened, and then complain all day when the long-awaited server upgrades finally happen. But that's just my opinion.
And if saying "Thank you" to the people who worked hard all day on implementing those upgrades, and who worked behind the scenes for the last two years or more on this, makes me some kind of "apologist" in your book, then all I can say is thank you very much for recognizing that I actually appreciate the people who work hard to bring me a game that I love to play.
