2nd patch in, trying to fix the original patch, and STILL can't beat the log-in boss

PC/NA, I know this patch was supposed to fix load times and log in crashes and other lag. Can't tell you if I'm more stable in-game as I have yet to beat the load screen boss to get past Character Select. Not even being given an Error- just sits there spinning for minutes at a time and then kicks me out to desktop. Been trying 15mins now. No queue. No trouble getting TO Character Selection, just can't get PAST Character Selection lol.

hurry143✭✭I just saw the "maintenance completed" message a few minutes ago. Tried to log in just now and was able to get past the login and character screens. I got into the game in around a minute or so.1 -

I was on the list of folks that couldn't get Guild Traders to load their wares, took me 45mins to do a dozen bank transactions, had 5min chat window delays, sat in 5-10min load screens per zone/house change _IF_ it didn't kick me, saw the message for Mystery 1 sec queue, had this same issue logging in, had to reload ui literally every time i wanted to take something out of a mail...... I've never had issues this bad. 95% of these issues were not occurring for me since Update 33 went live, they really just hit me after Yesterday's patches.
I think some of us were hit harder than others with whatever went wrong.

So far still no luck on my end. Usually if its a case of too many of us logging in at the same time because servers just went up, I get error msgs from zos about the connection timing out... or a queue goes up etc. So I'm really surprised at it still doing this weird anonymous boot.

Grey_Wanderer✭✭✭Had huge problems before, got in just now okay, maybe slight delay on logging in, but well within tolerable levels. The map is still broken, though (all the delves I've completed now show not done; skyshards, as well, but I deselect and select them in the map, and it fixes itself). No idea on GF or normal zoning, yet.0 -

AyeshaBelladonna✭✭✭✭✭ok UPDATE: 40mins, Multiple tries across my account. Finally got in on a character not in a house. Guildies seeing same issues trying to log in with characters in houses and still seeing long load times between homes. Was able to go back to character select and get on a toon in a house once l got fully logged in at least once and it does seem more stable now so far. May be connected specifically to character location when trying to log on.

Zoning pretty smooth and quick so far. I guess as we get into peak will be the real test. *crosses fingers*1 -

✭✭So this is how my login went:
Initially I got put into a login que for 1 second that lasted forever. I just eventually left and relogged in and was put into character select. <New bug?>
From login -> Character Select -> Inside Wayrest -> Total time 2:30 mins which is basically pre patch levels for me <No SSD etc so I have longer load screens>.
Chat works in game. So looks like it seems fixed. Haven't tested group bugs yet. Zoned from Wayrest to Vvardenfell <both high pop zones> and took less than a minute.Edited by karekiz on 22 March 2022 20:191 -

Yeah me too. There has been an additional problem for us lucky NW people. I've done multiple tracert and pathping and there is a fault between Seattle and the ZOS connection in Dallas. 95% los packets at times.
I've been using a VPN to reroute around it and it works well through VPN. It's annoying and has been that way for about a week now for me.
I phoned my ISP tech support (Telus Optik) and there's nothing they can or will do about it since absolutely everything else is 100% OK on my internet - netflix, SN hockey streaming, etc. Just the connection to the ZOS Dallas spot.
There are several free or free trial VPNs you can try. I did at first but ended up buying 26 months of Surfshark for cheap (about $2.30 / month) and going through its Vancouver VPN server I'm getting about 100 latency consistently. Not quite as good as the 70-90 I used to get without VPN but a good connection.0 -
Belegnole✭✭✭✭✭Hate to say it, but I'm in Wisconsin and he latest work has brought things back to what they have been since 33 dropped. I either get booted during transfers, hit 999 ping, cant log in at all etc. Now I must say that this afternoon/evening has been better than yesterday.0 -
