Xbox Controller on PC not working today

I see this message at the top of the forums We are currently investigating issues some players are having on the North American PC/Mac megaserver. We will update as new information becomes available. Not sure it is related.
Otherwise my BT connected controller is not working today. Keyboard is fine...but I am terrible at it now, and die all the time. I tried turning it on and off - no dice. Tried restarting ESO - no dice...
I run ESO thru Steam and it shows up under Xbox One controllers (it is an MS Elite Series 2). And it does calibrate...meaning it responds. But not in the game. Yesterday, it was fine...thoughts?
