Fungal Grotto VR at V2

Wow what a crazy hard dungeon at that level.

Completed the other two before without major issue - Banished Cells is easy enough, and while Spindleclutch is quite challenging, it's far behind Fungal.

For some reasons EP always gets the hardest dungeons. Feels like they balanced this for one for at least VR5+ (we were all V2, mostly with no experience - tho I had tried up to the 2nd boss with other pugs and failed several times).

But yea nearly ~3 hours, hundreds of mana pots and untold amounts of soul gems later we took it down:

Last boss in particular is just nuts, partially because shes heavily bugged - showing her special attack animations when they aren't really going, and just generally acting nuts making it nearly impossible to see her tells.

I really didn't think we could do it. I literally said "last try" and I meant it, and we pulled it off, right as i used my last mana pot.

Team was 3 Crush it + Endaros. Nice job guys.

Think we'll stick to farming Banished cells for a while tell higher lvl before we do that again heh.

I went in with 2 VR2s including myself and 2 VR3s. And it just wasn't possible, this dungeon is extremely hard.
Zavus - Khajiit Nightblade EP | AR 50
    Zāv - Imperial Templar | AR 24
Zavbags - Argonian Nightblade EP | AR 19
Zabus - Redguard Nightblade DC | AR 13

I was just going to post a query about this grotto having 'popped in' for a look earlier today. I quickly realised I was not going to get very far and exited gracefully! ;)

Tried to do with 2 VR1 (one me) and 2 VR8 the other day.

We didnt even get the first boss below 70% :(

i guess its because of the dungeon itself, it so unstable.
i can't tell if by it or software it's just horrible.
    got many attempts, sadens me.

they are actually not that hard, they could done them even harder i feel they are perfect as they are and raids will become harder wich is good imo.

its mostly about ppl know how to place their abilities and how to play.
and learning the tactics aint hard.

    Did another run.
    I'm V6 this time around.
    Other 3: V4, two V5s.

3 Sorcerer's and 1 Templar tank. All Crush it. No op DKs even this time heh.

Oh yea and we did this too:

Definitely a healer-test achievement. Serious aoe damage.

Feel like they could of made this one of the Tier2s, and made Wayrest a Tier1. Would of made more sense balance wise. (As Wayrest is relatively easy, tho still has some challenge).

Did this with a VR2 group. We only had several tries on the "shadow boss" (don't recall his name) before we managed to defeat him. All other bosses went quite smoothly. We never needed more than 2 attempts. Usually adjusting skills for the boss helped a lot. The biggest problem we had in there, were the huge lags. During trash mob groups about 4-10 sec delay, which led to guessing the position and spamming aoe, hoping for the best. During boss fights we usually had 0.5-1 sec delay, which is still "subpar", but didn't seem be a big deal.

Considering it's an VR1-5 dungeon with VR5+ loot, it was challenging but doable at VR2, and we mainly wore greens with only a few blues, I think its difficulty is fine as it is. There should be at least one dungeon per tier, which provides some challenge.

Btw: We did "Veteran Fungal Grotto: Undaunted" (ignoring the obsidian husk) on our first run. One dps swapped to off-heal (or something like that) and it supported our healer in the critical phases. It took some time to defeate the boss because of the dps loss, but it worked like charm.

And after that, I added the rest of the group to my friendlist.^^

Wtf are you all talking about? Its not hard at all, i first finished it at VR2 as a tank with members under VR5. Its the only dungeon that actually proved to be a challenge and we still beat it. Im on farm with it right now as VR4. Maybe you guys arent used to anything really that hard....

re: Sma: Incredibly rude and you contradict yourself.
"actually proved to be a challenge"
    "not hard"
    ...

    And your last comment:
I seek out all of the hardest dungeons in every mmo i've played. None stopped me yet. Are ESOs the hardest of any mmo yet? Perhaps not. But that's no reason to be so rude and condescending towards others accomplishments.

its not a hard dungeon. And 'challenge' doesnt mean its hard - it just means it was harder than anything else in the game thus far.
