I know I know. You are all thinking, "...but Thunderchief you are being silly. We must ban bots so we can get rid of them!"
I posted this idea as a joke on another discussion weeks ago and now when i see a bot I still think about it.
My idea was to create an item that can not be destroyed and once a bot is identified a GM loads up that entire accounts bank and inventory space with this item. The bot then continues to run around from node to node without being able to loot anything. The bots handler will then check in many hours later to find he left his computer on all day for naught.
Another idea is to mark known bots with some icon above their heads. Have a reward drop in those pvp chests that allows us to charm a known bot for 1 hour. It can then run around and follow you like it is a familiar.
Recently I was in the Ivarstead Inn in The Rift (the one before you go up the 100 steps). I noticed a bunch of players (they had pvp ranks beside their names) emoting the script of some long play. They were walking (not running) and behaving like the Inn was a stage. Either they were six hardcore roleplayers or someone was having creative fun with bots.
How about if confirmed bots were forced into roleplay hell. They could be forced into prison cages or forced to play the role of an enduring husband to a bitchy npc wife.
Anyone got any other creative ideas on how we can play with cheaters and bots?
