Game crashing since new update

I haven't been able to start the game since the new update, can't even reach the login screen. I'll click play on the launcher and it will bring up a black screen for a few seconds and then exit back to desktop. The same thing happens if I try just launching the eso64 exe file. I have tried repairing, uninstalling and then reinstalling. I have also tried running the game in compatibility mode, nothing has worked so far. My best guess at this point is that it is something that was implemented with this update since it was working fine before

madmax911✭✭I have the exact same issue. Cant play the game at all. Tried repair as well. Pressing play and i get black screen and a window to submit error report.
Edit: Found my problem Sweetfx and resahade was the problem. Removed it and now the game works.Edited by madmax911 on 16 November 2021 11:240 -

There could be an issue with your add-ons or with your settings leading to this crashing issue.
Try removing add-ons as described here and see if it helps.
We also suggest deleting two settings files to ensure ESO is at it's default settings. To do so, follow the instructions below:- Open up the Documents folder on your computer.
- Open the Elder Scrolls Online folder, then open the Live folder.
- Find the ShaderCache and UserSettings files.
- Create copies of each file, then delete the originals.
- Close everything and start ESO again.

Oddly enough though, with my new install I don't seem to have a UserSettings file, I guess since I haven't been able to reach the login screen it can't generate a new UserSettings file?0

I and many others also have this issue. I've had multiple contacts with Tech Support and the issue has been forwarded to the developers for a solution. That was about a week ago and I haven't heard anything back from them yet. So unless you're willing to reinstall Windows, and there's no guarantee that will work, there's not much more we can do but wait.0 -

One more troubleshooting step you can try is rebooting the PC into a selective startup. This will disable third party software running on the PC. Copy and paste these two lines: bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING OFF bcdedit -set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS OFF, then hit enter after each line, and then close the command prompt and restart your computer.0

This fixed it. ESO will not run in test mode. After I ran the commands to put it out of test mode I found out the driver causing it was a USB driver for a 3D printer control board. As soon as I put the driver back Windows went back to test mode and ESO crashes again.
