New armor styles?

With the fail of Deadric I was wondering if there might be hope of some new style motifs int he future, personally later on down the road I was hoping with some added content maybe the Falmer might end up somewhere as a playable race, I mean who doesn't wanna see some snow elves back before they became to better than Scamps lol.

So maybe perhaps a Snowelf motif? maybe a better deadric motif that looks more like the armor we all know and love? idk maybe it's just mean but I feel like we could have something better and with the fairly good graphics I am sad to see the armors we have now aside from a few.

I agree, and they probably will I'd imagine/hope. That or they will put a lot of effort into their disguise system and offer really amazing cosmetic styles through that which I wouldn't be overly opposed to, provided they get rid of the annoying part where your character is re-equipping it every time you load/zone in anywhere & also show it at character select. As a very visually driven player, personally...I need my armor or character to look spiffy lol

I've already seen 2 people joking about snow elf motif [they used coloured text to make it look like an item linked in chat].
I'd be really glad to see Dwemer as a motif. Also maybe traditional dunmer [bonemold, chitin and stuff].

Most of the Snow Elves are already on their "goblin" form at the time of this game, but of course we learned on Skyrim that some Snow Elves escaped that fate. They are hiding all around Skyrim right now and it is possible that at some point the player will meet them. Making them playable wouldn't be so lore friendly, though, so I don't want it to happen.
Anyway, I don't see why we couldn't have a Snow Elf Motif despite their somehow grim situation, we have an Ancient Elf one which is basically Ayleid after all. Dwarven and Maomer motifs could be introduced later, too.
Oh, and Chimer, of course. I almost forgot.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

Hopefully they start by letting us use the 4 models available for each style to craft any level of gear :)

Honestly, before throwing out tons of new "motifs" I would very much prefer that some of the current ones get an overhaul instead.
Especially some of the light armor variants look just horrible - more like full body tattoos and not like real clothing.

What I'd really like to see are faction and civilian motifs (after dwemer, of course).

Basically there would be 3 faction motifs (Dominion, Covenant, and Pact), and each would craft armor and weapons adorned with that faction's emblems. The styles would be based on a mix of the races native to that faction.

So, for example, the Ebonheart Pact motif would have armor and weapons with the dragon logo (perhaps etched in gold like the argonian armors are), blackened or dark metal, and with a mix of fur (from nord gear) and sharp edges (from dark elf gear). Aldmeri dominion styled gear would be stamped with the eagle icon and contain the crescent shapes of khajiit gear, the feathery patterns of high elf gear, and the bones and spikes of wood elf gear.

The civilian motif (or something along those lines) would make gear that looks more like traditional clothing and tools than armor and weapons. Think along the lines of the improvised weapons mod in skyrim - using a woodcutter's axe, or a blacksmith's hammer, or a butcher knife, or a rake/broom (for staffs), so on and so forth.

I LOVE the "civilian motif" idea! I am really fond of weapons that look improvised and of heroes that look like common people.

I would expect something closer to what Almalexia wears on TES:III for Chimer, though it doesn't have to be so skimpy.

In the situation at hand in this game I don't see how playing a snow elf wouldn't be lore friendly seems how there are survivors scattered across the land.

They are hiding, and they will stay hidden for the next 1000 years. That's why.
Having hundreds of snow elves suddenly popping out of every corner of Tamriel is not lore friendly. They are alive, yes, but being alive doesn't mean that they can roam free like the player can.

Allowing players to play as the falmer would be disastrous for a number of reasons.

1: What faction would they join? No way there will be falmer down south.

2: Being able to play as a race that no one has been able to play as before would most likely result in a big population boom for that race which would destroy some lore.

3: Zenimax would have to give in and unlock more races which wouldn't help lore out either.

4: New lore would have to be made to try and fit in the race.

    5: People would complain.

So overall, it would be safer NOT to add anymore races.

I hope they add the future motif books in places that give advantage to Players, and disadvantags the famers. In Veteran levels, every inn and house I visit is looted clean. It's booring to run around in a completly looted world. Dosen't feel much like skyrim then if that's the feel they wanted to give us with those objects.

I wouldn't mind a repeatable quest on a timer that takes you to a random house to kill some badguys and a boss and then have your own instanced house with lootboxes to prevent farming it should be on a timer like a few hours.

I would also like to see motifs drop in group dungeons, so more will attend them. Jut spread them out so normal players can get them on the same level as farmers.

I dont think anyone is suggesting that the falmer/snow elves be added as a 'playable' race, I think we're just wanting an armor style motif that gives players their armor appearance.

A falmer armor style motif would work just fine - they make their gear out of bug carapaces and chitin, and that armor style was already in skyrim. I think the primal style may be the same, though.

    I'd accept the following Motiff's :

    1) Ordinator (the old purple would be nice)
    2) Falmer would be acceptable
    3) Molded Bone
    4) Alliance decoraded (like you see on the stands) so thats 3 Motiff's
    5) Nature (layers of leaves, bark for solid parts) .. maybe
    6) Tribal/hunter ... Like Primal/Barbarian but with more furs like bear, wolf and big cats
    7) Bear (from Morrwind Bloodmoon expansion)
8 ) Wolf (from Morrwind Bloodmoon expansion)

Thats all i have for now.

I would also like to see an new accessory slot where you could equip fabric drapes from the shoulders or animal skins that sit on/over the shoulders

I would love to see dwemer motif, blades/akaviri style motif especially since its already in game with the fighters guild guys wearing the armor. Also ebony armor has always been my favorite in the games. It looks like a very elegant noble armor. Also hoping when dark brotherhood comes into play they have their own unique motif you can get as part of faction questline.
