Racials for certain classes are they important at 50?

So for those of you that have hit 50 are people finding racials don't matter or do they help still...like being an Altmer Sorcerer vs being a Nord Sorcerer?...as an example

I've heard of Argonians out-swimming entire zergs in Cyrodiil because of their +50% swimming speed passive. The extra healing is good, and the huge buff to poison and disease resistance helps greatly with being a Werewolf.
I don't know. I think the racial passives are pretty great in this game.

Ya I am having a hard time deciding if racials are really going to help with some of the combos's of race and class...and rather than ask about each one I thought it easier to ask in general. But to me they do look pretty great in this game.

A lot of people I've talked to think the Argonian passives are weak compared to other races, but in situations as highlighted above, it can be a very powerful tool. I think all the passives are a bit situational, favoring things those races would be naturally better at. A stamina-focused sword swinging Breton simply won't be as effective as a magic casting one because they are unable to fully leverage their natural racial passives.

Yes, they matter. If you are a magicka user, Altmer or Breton is pretty much mandatory, or you will be giving up a lot of stat budget on your gear.

Nord racials give them armor(which is very easy to cap, meaning it is a wasted stat boost), health regen(which is nice, but health regen is so small that this is barely noticable), and frost resist(which helps against what exactly?). So making a Nord Sorcerer isn't completely useless, but compared to 10% magicka pool increase, 9% magicka regen(meaning you dont have to waste a ring enchant on it), or 3% spell cost reduction(just good all around), Nord racials are very poor.

Don't listen to people claiming racials at end game are strictly a min/maxing thing. Racials directly translate into item budget, and if you have useless racials for the role you are trying to play, then you lose that item budget. It is as simple as that. 10% magicka increase is not small.

@Stx‌ I disagree entirely. ANY stat, including armor, is easily capped within veteran ranks. And considering most classes use a good amount of magicka, your argument is a little self defeating. The racial benefits can bring a fair amount to the table, but it isn't the end-all for a role selection. It just changes what enchantments you'll want to carry at higher levels.

I agree, Nord racials are very poor. Ice attacks are encountered very rarely. Armor is always at overcharge with a white set of heavy armor already. And +health regen is hardly noticeable, because it ticks so slow.
I have no idea if a white set of heavy armor still overcharges you at VR10 thought. Not to mention armor is mostly useless. I often run around with 0 armor in pve because of repair costs and still manage fine.
Currently I regret my race choice :(
I think they should get rid of overcharging stats and rebalance the racials

    Not accurate.

I'm veteran rank as well, and unless you're VR10 in expensive ass gear with expensive ass glyphs, you ain't capping all your stats.

And you won't be capping ALL your stats.

And even then what the racials do means you can glyph less stamina/magicka/health and start slotting resists or some other stat that isn't either of those.

And then there's Imperials and Redguards, who are not capped at all and are just stupid with proccing free health and stamina recovery, imperials in particular.

My sorcerer needs 2 trait points and needs to cast a costly dark magic spell to recover 5% HP. Meanwhile an imperial swings his free light weapon attacks and voila every 4 seconds he's getting 5% of his HP back.
