Audio lag/Sound cutting in and out

I seem to keep running into this issue. I don't know what causes it to keep coming back. Game audio will cut out every several seconds very choppy, makes it so I literally can't play with sound. I tried the fixes I could from here but it changes nothing. I'm not sure what affected it in the past, I think a repair helped once, but not anymore. Drivers are all up to date. I'm at a loss and can't play like this.

As of now I just logged in for the first time since posting and everything is back to normal. (I had already looked at that other article too and it hadn't helped). Again, no idea why this issue pops up randomly every once in a while and no idea why or how it fixes itself suddenly after several days (I think last time I had the issue it persisted for much longer).
