Not enough bag space even with upgrades

The game is getting very frustrating. Just starting my third zone and I have 2 alts full of just crap.

Even Brennan agrees...the storage needs addressed and fast...

I don't agree. I think that provisioning item tool tips need better descriptions so I know whether to keep an ingredient, sell it, or GB it but that the inventory and bank itself are fine as is.

I think there's an argument to be made either way about whether having to manage your inventory is good (it's a matter of priorities) or bad (it's needless busy work) but I think there a few indefensible problems with the current system.

    1) Treasure maps and pets take up inventory space. This is pointless. I will probably just delete my pets soon, and I had to store my maps on a bank alt and then waste time transferring them back to the bank when I access a new area. Why not just have them be "collected" by the character for later use like so many other games?

    2) There are way too many crafting items. No other game requires so many different types of materials, plus racial materials, plus trait materials. Just consolidate them. It's pointless. It's not even like they have a lot of value.

    3) There's no room to keep trophies/items with RP value. I understand many people don't care about that, but a lot do. Why should I be forced to sell the King's Justice, granted to me by King Casimir for saving his life? I wanted to keep that sword as a memento and a badge of honor, but the game just won't accommodate me.

I agree, but the key is that they want you to not have the space. So if they reduced the number of items, they would reduce the space -- the space limit is being used as a hard cap on the number of crafts you can level, per account, at the same time without it becoming a colossal pain. I would prefer a hard cap (i.e., every character gets 2 tradeskills max) and more comfortable inventory, but I think their mindset is "hard caps like that are not Elder Scrolls, but inventory limits are Elder Scrolls, so we're going to cap it that way" -- which is irritating because one of the first things many TES players in all of the SP games do is get the inventory issue sorted either by getting a house with its storage or by outright modding the game. It isn't a popular feature, and to have it be a main fulcrum in an MMO crafting system was a bad idea, whether it can be tied to the SP games or not.

I wondered into this thread to try to find out what exactly the max bank space and max character storage potential is. Didn't come across it BTW. Maybe in here somewhere, but this thread is very active and I just skimmed. If anyone knows, please share!

I'm trying to comprehend the frustration people are experiencing with the banking system. I like the set up. I think it forces you to stay a little more in character. If you are a tank with heavy armor crafting skills, then perhaps your character doesn't bother with anything that is not related to his or her craft unless it has noticeable value.

In my example, you might skip most enchanting, alchemy and provisioning loot in favor of wood and clothing raw materials as they tend to stack nicely and sell for a fair price.

Max inventory at this stage of the game is 110 slots.

I've heard that bank can be upgraded to 200 but can not find a source on it.

I am level 10. My bank is completely full of only "materials". Im crafting every time my bags fill up and I have to go back to town. I have purchased the first bag and bank upgrades and can't afford any more at this point.

This is just not acceptable. There are too many ingredients in the game and not enough bag/bank space. I should not have full slots in my storage and no where to put it except to sell the mats I may need for crafting. Could we please get an infinite storage receptacle for our materials? Soooo frustrating and boring to have to go back to town after two quests to have to do inventory management. This needs to be fixed.

    Go back to play WoW.

ESO is about choices. You have the freedom to choose whatever you want, but you can not have it all ;-)

I LOVE the way EsO forces you to actually pay attention to what you should gather, practice, use as skills. The list is endless. Finaly a good MMORPG where YOU as a player matters, where your own skills matters. Where your wit and cunning/learning matters.

    [snip]

Update: My chars are ~100 slots (including ~20 of horse capacity) the bank is 100 slots (next bank update cost 20500 lol)

guess what? The inventory management still sux. No place for extra sets, crafting in advance for alts, mementos, whatever.

PvP items? lol, sorry Matt I won't even bother with PvP adding another collection of items to the neverending inventory shuffling. So better start convincing Paul that changes his mind.

I agree, its a game with lots of items that DO NOT STUCK... An example is, I NEVER DO enchanting (I dont call it enchanting, I call it replacement), what kind of enchanting is that, useless if I have to replace my already stats. I never do cooking because to many items. Its very limited and very expensive to upgrade and for only 10 slots..

They need to do many changes, give us a bug for crafting items and make runes and stuff, be able to stuck each other. NOT every unit to be an individual slot item.

My main is 100 and I only need another 20k gold to make it at the max upgrade possible slots... 110

But again, my bag gets full every less than an hour... There is 2 problems and I will note them down

    1) Many of the crafting materials and profession materials, DONT STUCK each other.
    2) Our private bank space is a joke.

    and one for the house

    3) inexistent trading system/economy (I personally cannot stock out)

So if and when they try to fix that, they have to focus into these 2 things. In combination with the pure or invisible trade system, it makes it really bad... selling through websites.. lol
