ESO client cause huge computer lag while loading/zoning

Anyone else have this problem? When I load characters or zone, my computer stops responding and typing lags or is unresponsive. Like most people I want to do other things while the game is loading, not just stare at ESO's lengthy load screens. I've never experienced this with any other game or application. Anyone know what is going on? Maybe there are some multithreading settings?
