For sure having a set time would be the most ideal answer. Not sure why it was decided to just kind of wing it with this one, other than it is a new and unusual ESO live. I'm sure it was thought that just getting it out as soon as possible would be best, and it is, but at the same time people are just waiting and kind of wasting the day because we aren't sure when we need to be ready to watch the show and when we will get to see the patch notes. Knowing there is going to be a show, which hasn't happened before, at least for me makes it kind of more important that I am present for it. Being in AK, I'm 4 hours behind your time on the east coast. I could have gone back to sleep if I knew that doing so wouldn't cause me to miss it. Instead I've drank overly strong coffee and watching a live murder trial and I'm so anxious I can't stand it lol. Hopefully we have access to the patch notes soon, and the stream won't take too much longer for an announced time.

This may come off as rude, but if you didn't have a time set then don't give specific times in another post. Even if it is a ETA, it just gets everyone riled up and then the forums blow up.

At the time, it probably appeared that it would happen then. Then stuff happened: a schedule changed, a meeting ran long, they missed something, or there was a last-minute addition/deletion. Something serious enough to turn ahead of time into "not."

Your comment and the forum reaction seems to say more about the forum than it does ZOS communication.

Don't get me wrong. I'm eagerly waiting and refreshing with everyone else. I just recognize that "These things happen."

Yes, I do. I also know you should never give out an eta unless you are pretty darn sure the time you are going to be there/start something is really close to that eta.

Waiting an hour to come back and basically say that we have no clue when we will be ready is usually not met with smiles and roses in the real world.
