"Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online Team.
Alliance Locked Campaigns is a Campaign rule that is applied to Campaigns with 30 day durations. In these Campaigns, your account will only be able to participate with a single Alliance for the duration of the Campaign.
There are two methods of locking in your Alliance for a Campaign. In both cases, Alliance selection is determined by the Alliance of the character you are currently logged in with.
Method 1: Assign a “home” Campaign in the Alliance War menu.
Method 2: Enter Cyrodiil on a Campaign you’ve not previously joined.
Once you’ve locked in your Alliance, only characters of the same Alliance on your account will be allowed to enter Cyrodiil in that Campaign.
There is no option to change your locked Alliance until the Campaign duration has elapsed. Multiple in-game notifications have been added to warn you when you’re about to join an Alliance-locked Campaign.
Campaigns not flagged with the “Alliance locked” rule set remain unchanged. Any character above level 10 from any Alliance can play in those Campaigns at any time

This is not MY fault. I got a UI error when i logged into my character. This response, while obvious this is a known issue that is not our fault as players, is blatant disregard for your responsibility to properly test and provide satisfactory service to your paying customers. (Yes im talking to you ZOS and dev team and customer support)
The fact of the matter is, I am a common joe-schmoe nobody. But guess what? I could have written the code to prevent this catastrophic failure to perform your jobs while working for a multi billion dollar company.
The fact that this re-faction locking happened in the first place is inexcusable display of incompetence, and this denial of responsibility of said incompetence is a slap in the face to a paying customer (namely me, but guess what? how many people did this happen to? 10? 20? 50? 100? who knows.)
This kind of disregard for your patrons is not even close to a way to obtain re-occurring business. And i have a mind to take mine elsewhere.
This is NOT the only faction based combat game in the great blue internet ocean, and i have max level toons on other games, that are just waiting for you to screw up EXACTLY like this, so i will rejoin their community and leave yours behind. They will more than happily take my money that would be yours.
I am not unreasonable, I understand that there was an oversight, i can forgive that, everyone makes mistakes. But as a business that expects me to be a re-occurring customer, don't you dare ever claim that I am responsible for incompetent failures, made by your team. You should be ashamed of yourself, [removed bashing comment]
Thanks for your time and consideration,
Regards,
Your unsatisfied customer. m|n
