Content write failed when downloading PTS

Same problem. Got to about 12% and download speed dropped to 0, followed by “Content failed to write”. Tried closing and restarting launcher. Same error after a 20 minute verification process. A fix would be nice.

I had the content failed issue at 24% after about 11 hours DL PTS.

I tried shutting down laptop then came back a while later to resume DL without much luck. I have just done a repair as suggested elsewhere on forum. Now the DL has reset to 0% with a rate of 1.xx MB/s. (Just hit 1% as typing).

This is really putting me off.

EDIT: For clarity: after repair, there was no further file verification - the DL simply restarted at 0% and did not go to the previous 24%.

EDIT: Yeah! That 7 should have been a 1! Did'nt have glasses on - lol.

I stopped last night....restarted not to long ago and IT DOES start over at 0% but it first runs the verification of files.

I'm now at 23% and only 13.68 MB/s on a wired Google Fiber 1 gig connection so its better than yesterday which hit a max of 2 to 5 MB/s before stopping

Google Fiber Speed test results:
Ping 4.9 ms
Download 829 Mbps
Upload 896 Mbps

So I noticed that with this error occurring, every time I paused and resumed the download, the MB remaining increased, so I did that repeatedly until the MB remaining stopped increasing. Now the download has resumed at normal speed. I have no idea if this actually fixed anything, and I have to leave for work so I can’t monitor it. Hopefully, it’s working properly now and it’ll be done when I get home.

Sounds like it's the same problem they had in 2016.
It says solved back then, but only by ZOS. I think there is nothing we can do but wait.

I really didn't want my first post on the forums to be so negative, but here I am.

I've been trying, and failing, to download the PTS, and no fewer than five times have I had a content write failure. Two repairs later, I managed to get it all downloaded and installed once, but the moment I tried to launch the game, it crashed.

Now, I attempted a third repair, go out to run errands, and come back to a sixth content write failure. I'm at the end of my rope over this. I could really use some help, because if I can't get the PTS running, I'm giving up on it.

ZOS is apparently looking into it now, per MLG's linked thread above, so hopefully we'll have a fix for it soon (and actually be able to try out the game like they wanted)

Pts is still giving content write failed, webget error and reversing of the download bar numbers. @ZOS_GinaBruno what is being done for this? So many of us are unable to join the beta will it be extended or what exactly is to happen?
