What I plan to do with my housing containers

With some containers (the smaller ones being 30 each and the larger ones being 60 if I remember correctly, with 4 of each being available:

Large containers:
Alchemy stuff
Food stuff
Style materials
Trait gems

Small containers:
Gear sets
Vendor Trash (for crow missions until I finish learning Ebonshadow), and then after that, premade items for crafting writs
Intricate gear (when picked up by my main character, for my other characters to pick up and decon until maxed) + "Go Box" (potions, food, repair kits, soul gems)
Gear to swap (tank to DPS and vice versa)

What do you guys plan to do with your storage boxes?

    I dunno.

Probably going to get one for my maelstroms and asylum weapons, another one for my gold jewelry and a third one for random sets that I'm not sure if I should sell or descons XD

I'm gonna keep my furniture inside them, so in the bank I will have armors and weapons only.

I'm going to use them to sort my armor by set........all Necro in one......all burning spellweave in one.......etc. Then I'll use one for jewelry that is not part of an armor set, like willpower. And one for monster sets.

    Sets for later.

I keep a bunch of divines or inpen or study or infused pieces of popular bind on pick up sets. So i don't have to farm them again later when i need them. Even if i have no intention of using them yet. I started before transmute system.

I am glad i saved up almost 500 master writs.

monster sets in one, sets who I might use in the future in one or two, use the smaller for various collectibles.
Currently in the progress of clearing out bank anyway, did a lot of random dungeons for the last push to cp690 and has lots of loot to sort trough.

I was thinking I'd use containers for: 1. Stam DD sets, 2. Mag DD sets, 3. Monster helms, 4. Monster shoulders, 5. Tank sets, 6. Heal sets, 7. One-time consumables (recipes, surveys etc)

I'll leave mats to my bank and character and like nowadays, I'll sell the extra mats.

I’m hoping the storage containers come in containers so I can store those in the containers. Storage-ception.

Oh, and definitely filling one full of heads. “What’s in the box?”

I'm undecided at this time, but tentatively:

Use a small one to place gear that is shared amongst my alts.

Use a large one to place furniture that I want to transfer to another house.

Since eliminating eso+ I've got a good mule-storage system going for everything except recipes and furniture plans, so I'll probably keep those in storage bins.

I'll have to see if and how they interact with add-ons (specifically Lazy Writs and Inventory Insight) before I will keep gear or consumables in there.

Question: How does one access what's in the storage? If you must go to the house, and can't use stuff stored in the container for crafting, then house storage becomes "deep storage" of items you don't need regular access to. It also makes sense to put furniture in it, since that is used only while in a house anyway.

(If you have crafting stations in the house, then maybe sticking mats in the house chests works).

If by a stroke of good luck they break the trend and don't make them only openable from certain angles like they do chairs, crafting stations etc., then I'm going to suspend them in the air and make a Storage Atronach out of them.

Otherwise I'm going to put them on the floor, somewhere accessible. ;)

(And I'll probably put all the Legerdemain knick-nacks in them since they aren't good for much else. Maybe some equipment pieces with sentimental value.)

Personally, depending on how much these items cost, I may buy them to replace my 'Mule' character whos only job is to store my 'Training' gear when I am leveling up a new character to 50.

However, I would recommend to anyone that is playing this game and doing crafting, that they should buy the monthly subscription at least when compared to buying a 'Large' house for storage purposes.

Craft bags have infinite storage for crafting material (which take up most of your space if you are a crafter) and once I got my monthly subscription all my 'Storage' woes instantly went away. I was spending all my Gold on bank and bag space and starting new characters just to use them a 'Mules' to hold overflow equipment. Now I never have to worry about Storage and all my characters have at least 100 'free' slots at almost all times.

When you consider how much 'Real' money it takes to maintain a 'Large' or 'Notable' home the craft bag make much more sense as a storage solution.

If you are looking to only buy a small home basically as a storage closet, you should wait to see how much these new 'chests' will cost. Most 'Services' for homes cost about 30$ in 'Real' money or take about a week or more of targeted effort to acquire in game. So this storage could get really expensive really fast.

I'm currently sitting on 1.4 million gold and 40k Tel Var, so I will be able to buy at least one large storage container, probably 2 or 3.

Dependant upon the room they're in, so in the kitchen it'll be food and kitchen furnishings. In the bathroom, towels and (stolen) "soap" type treasures. Living area/study will be books, paper, different knick knacks, and so on.

    Can't wait!

    I think as follows;

    Large: Monster Helm/Shoulders
    Large: Stam Gear sets
    Large: Mag Gear sets
    Large: Furniture
    Small: Geodes
    Small: Consumables
    Small: Seige
    Small: Disguises I like, random

I want to keep my bank open for crafting/writ items and single stacks of emergency items(lockpick/soulgems/food/potion) in case the character I'm playing runs out.

All my characters have serious mule duties. So I'll probably keep some containers empty to let characters empty their backpacks before going out dungeon-delving. That idea could help with furniture transfer between houses as well.

Beyond that, disguises/ornamental-only gear are an obvious thing to put in the containers.

Assuming I get all the chests/coffers:

These I won't place anywhere else then the one place as that makes sense for me. I don't think I can put all 8 (if i manage to get all eventually) in all houses anyway as there is a special furniture limit I believe:
One 60 slot chest for my main's home Ravenhurst for all his gear he is not currently using. (I am not a gear hoarder so this should do)
One 30 slot coffer same for my alt in her humblemud home.
two 60 chests in my craft home with all the craftstations for craftstuff I want to keep but not in the bank. Writs and such included. Bank is still most practical after all as you can access stuff directly from there at the craftstation. So this will be overflow or rarely used mats seeing I only have ESO+ and thus the craftbag occasionally. And this will save having to relog and go to the bank everytime. And will free up my 2 mule-alts to actually play occasionally instead of being mules with filled bags only.
One 60 chest for provisioning stuff in my main's kitchen in Ravenhurst (don't save any now).

In all homes (if slot count allows):

one 30 coffer for consumables and such all my characters can use.
one 30 coffer for all those costumes i picked up in the world, the disguise ones that are slotable items. Fun stuff.
one 30 coffer for everything else that didn't fit in one of the others/overflow, probably mostly furniture items.

    Khajiit also has plans yes

    Large:

    Furnishings
    Furnishing plans and cooking recipes
Armour and things this one does not wish to deconstruct

    Small:

Plants and flowers for the eventual roof garden
    Motif pages and books
Things I won't need for a while like festival fish
