It's the same thing when sorcerers do a heavy attack or send the frags to someone when s/he was a clean target. Even if s/he moves or runs away, the flame or frags will follow her/him like a guided missile, through the walls! The only cure to that is dodge roll. You can't do it when you cloak, because obviously, it will take you out of stealth.

What I've described above IS working as intended. Cloak grants you a forced stealth, but it does not cancel previously engaged targets to you.

How exactly is someone going to fire anything directly at you AFTER you cloaked ? (Exception being detection ofc.)
The entire point is that cloak is supposed to function like a dodge for pretty much all projectiles, otherwise the skill would be useless in actual combat.

Azhek - I've never been able to fire at anyone when they cloaked. However, I can fire and remove them out of the stealth if I do that right before they disappear. Essentially, locking the target. Then, unless they dodge roll to cancel, they can run miles, hide behind the walls, cloak - fire will get them.
I think that's what happens now, NBs would want to be able to just vanish and annul every projectiles/attacks fired at them before they cloaked.

Silky - correct, I haven't been here when cloak had a cleansing bonus. But I guess you answered your own concern now - if Zeni removed the cleanse, that means they find cloak working as intended and they don't want it to be a sudden cancellation of previous DOTs and attacks.

I know I could never attack cloaked NBs with bows/fire/lightning/ice attacks if I didn't have a clean target of them before, or I if I haven't already prepared the attack (e.g. Snipe) with just animation showing. If I've been allowed to snipe, the arrow would get a NB even if s/he disappeared. Personally, I don't think that's wrong.
