- You should never use Ebon weapons/shields because you'll be subjecting your entire group to this problem each time you bar swap.
- You cannot use Twice-Born Star on a weapon/shield slot because you'll lose your second Mundus stone on bar swap and will then have to go physically reacquire it.
- Any max health/mag/stam set bonuses and enchantments will be lost and then re-acquired, causing a loss in current resources that must then be regenned back (or healed back). This is more noticeable with large bonuses like Plague Doctor, Hulking Draugr, or Necropotence.
This isn't new. Nor is it unique to these sets. And it's a pretty well-known problem.
Bar swapping works by un-equipping the weapons/shields on your first bar and then equipping the weapons/shields on your back bar. This means that you are, for a brief moment, losing all of the bonuses conferred by your weapons/shields. This includes set bonuses and enchantments.
As a result...

The way bar swaps work in ESO is stupid, but it's not an easy problem to fix because it means completely reworking how bar swaps work. It's why this problem has been around since time immemorial. Just be careful when planning your builds that you avoid certain types bonuses for weapons/shield slots.
