Weekly rent curiosity

I am curious, does anyone charge 6k per week or more for rent in their guild? Kinda wondering why it is usually 5k and not more.

That does seem a bit high, normally it's ~2k-5k and only happens in trading guilds on PC/EU.

I hate being in guilds that charge, because I usually sell enough to cover any weekly charge they can throw at all their members. There aren't even many of those guilds left, because it is an unpopular policy, there are members that donate 100k on a weekly base that would quit them if they put in a charge.

What is popular though is guilds requiring 1k donation weekly, or sell items for a total worth of 1k. Recieving the donation is superior to if the member only sold items for 1k worth, as the guild would recive like ~20g from that. They're just doing this to force members to be active sellers.

No I was saying in trading guilds, on PS4 I pull in 300 to 400k per week from my sales and was just curious why everyone just stops at 5k. Why is that the magic number, you know.

    Oh my bad sowwy :p

I think it's a low number that even lowbies and those who live in the poorhouse can pay.

    5,000g x 499 guild members = 2,495,000g

Most trading guilds bid 300k or 900k or 3 millions on a weekly base depending on their location. They just bid higher when they are forced to due to competition and bidding war.

On PC/ EU the best guilds are located in Craglorn, Rawl Ka and capital cities (Mournhold, Elden Root & Wayrest.)
Craglorn have 2 rows of traders, so the main one Shelzaka is the most expensive around 3 million, the others on that row bid around 1-2 million, the ones at the backrow bid 900k-2 million. Rawl Ka is 900k. The capital cities are 300k.

We also have the DLC location trading guilds, they usually go for 1-3 million at release and fall down to 900k and further 300k within 2-3 months. These guilds sales get lowered after the first two weeks, however they tend to sell items at a bit higher prices, because the players don't want to bother porting to the base-game locations for trading purposes.
They are not bad trading guilds to join, but they're not the best either.

So yeah, there is not much need for higher bids - on top of the donations and charges, they also benefit from sales. I think it's around 1g per 50g ... so if you sell something worth 1k then 20g of it goes to the guildbank.

I am in 5 guilds, one is a trading guild, 4 are social guilds. The trading Guild always has a Kiosk in a prime city, and 3 of the Social Guilds get kiosks more often than not, one of them almost regularly. None of them charge me rent or a fee. I do send them donations from time to time or participate in Raffles (which is really a donation), but other than that, I am not hassled for kick backs to the guild.

In other words, don't sweat the guilds that charge you, just find another one.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

No worries, your numbers are in a perfect world however most of the trading guilds I am in have maybe 250 to 400 members that contribute so realistically about 1.2 to 2 mil and the bids keep on increasing it seems especially for the best areas.
But like I said it was just a curiosity about it.

I'm in 5 guilds and none (read: zero) of them charge anything at all.

Unless it's one of the top tier trading guilds, i suggest you find another guild.

Eh, Don't join those guilds. Yes if your a PVE guild moving into the Trading guild line up, then contribute, otherwise just let your guild sales and raffle tickets do the donating.

Never going to pay to be in a guild again lol... I donated 400k to a guild since we lost our leadership and we needed to go to a new location. a week later I was kicked because I hadn't donated the 10k weekly surcharge. right....

@bryanhaas O.o 200-400 members = beginner guild, not fully established trading guild on PC/EU >.< here offliners get kicked after 2-3 days in the most popular locations, and 5-14 days in the ~300k bid guilds. So basically they kick people on a daily base, and get new sellers in fast. Trading guilds are always full basically...

@NativeJoe that is just so noobish lol how much brainlag does it take to throws out a donator like that omg
