Sick of Putting the Disk in the Console

So i own the game and installed it and am loving the game. My son plays NBA2k14 and swaps the disks out all of the time. I sit down to play and constantly have to go back to the console and put the ESOL disk back in the unit. Not the end of the world, but all of our other games are disk less (besides 2K14) Is there a way for me to get an updated version of the software that does not constantly need to check the disk to make sure I own it? I know that others that have the game and bought the digital version don't need to put up with this. Is there anything i can do to get a digital version of the game on the Xbox One and not need the disk any longer?

You sound like a troll Peel. Actually the game was given to me as a gift and if i had my choice i would have bought the digital version to skip the whole disk process. Not lazy, just efficient.

It's actually a problem with the Xbox. Sometimes the disk doesn't get fed far enough back. When you're putting the disk in, you need to tilt the console backwards (so that gravity can help) and give the disk a bit of a push. That's helped other people and it's helped me.

To be honest, i was hoping bethesda had a process for checking to see i had a valid license and then provide me a free code to use to turn off the check or download the digital version. They should offer that. disks are old school anyhow.

A game is never "licensed" to a player. There's no way to know for sure if you borrowed or brought the game.

Why don't you just buy digital versions? They may be more expensive but it's tied to you account. You'll never have problems with disc swapping, disc scratching or putting your "disk in something again"

Not really interested in spending another $40 on a game that I own to get a no disk option. It should be something easy for bethesda to offer and make happen.

    ROFL.. I agree.

If you meant to say you're having trouble reading the disk you can do as the other guy said and tilt the Xbox back, or what I have found that works for me is after I feed the disk I keep my hand in front of it while I eject the disk and it forces itself back inside and the disk is readable.

There's no such thing as checking whether or not you "own" the disk ***. The point of a disk is that you can use it on any console. What he clearly meant is that it's not reading the disk. The fix is to tilt the console back when you feed the disk in. Good job being a *** head.

For the record, this isn't a Bethesda game. Bethsoft isn't gonna offer you anything to ease your extreme ESO disk suffering.

Have you considered visiting a local game store and checking to see if you can trade it for a digital download code, or even a money code for Xbox LIVE in order to purchase a digital edition of the game?

@CavalierKing That was not what they said AT ALL! They were narked because the had to keep having to play ESO from the disk not from their HDD.

Is it not possible to install the game on the console's hard disk? It's an option with PS4s at least. And on Xbox 360 is was possible as well if you had the disk space. (if I recall right).

I always keep the games on the hard disk of the console, might be just an illusion but it seems they run smootlier from there.

lol I thought I was lazy. I stopped drinking water so I didn't have to get up to pee so much. But seriously, if you want a better experience you could join the 21st century and start PC gaming.

All Xbox games have you install it to the hard drive but if you have the disk you still need it to play.

You have to spin the disc for the console to read the licensing info.

I believe that was meant more as a cleanliness thing. As in she doesn't have to put up with a bunch of disk cases cluttering an area.
