Changing campaign

I was under the impression you could change your campaign for free when the current one ends. Well the one I was in ended last night but it seems to have stuck me back in the same campaign with a 15k AP fee to change. Any thoughts as to why this is?

If you entered that campaign (or even got in queue for it) since it ended... it then won't let you change for free (since you went in since the campaign ended) If not, not sure, sorry.

It loaded the campaign immediately when logging in so that must be why I am in the same one again. A little irritating since I always go back to Davon's watch at the end of each day but it must have not registered as I logged off straight after I fast travelled. Is the campaign meant to reset or is it just the scoring that resets?

Just the scoring resets, not the keeps etc.

I am updating this thread again as this time I have finished the campaign period. Logged in to the game in Mournhold not Cyrodiil which is where I assumed I went wrong last time and I still cannot change campaign without a fee. I have not interacted with my old campaign in any way whatsoever so why is this happening? Any help would be very much appreciated.

How do I change campaign without a fee?

I stink at PvP so I am never going to get the AP to pay for a change.

Add to that that other than my EP character (who is happy where they are) all my campaigns are "guest" and I still can't find a way to change.

I had thought that there was some thing you could toggle that would "leave campaign when it resets" or some such, but I can't find it.

Any suggestions welcome.

I'm on PC/NA

I had the same problem on xbox one. Had not even logged in during the campaign end update until today. Was logged off in Craglorn as well. Tried to start new campaign on Haderus, it took 15k ap points from me which I was confused why I had to pay that since I had not even selected a home campaign yet. Well, tried to enter and it wanted another 15k ap points and then said I needed to wait almost three days to change. Apparantly when Azura's Star ended, it just auto assigned me to that campaign again. I hope they fix this because I was not even on the game for almost 24 hours not to mention taking my ap points. My family and friends are now moved to haderus and I can't even enter. I don't know if it is a bug because of the connection issues right now. I could only log into my main for a short time today, and after that could never get any if my characters back into the game without the "you need a valid internet connection" At least now I know it is just not me that had this problem with changing campaigns.

Yeah it is definitely not just you as I still have not been able to change campaign without a fee. I managed to change to Azura's Star from the non veteran campaign for free but that was because I had levelled up to V1 and the game pretty much had to let me move. However that campaign has recently just finished and I thought I would try a shorter campaign as I feel like 30 days is a little long and it once again asked me for the 15k alliance points. I had not interacted with the old campaign at all since it ended. Unfortunately as you can see I brought this issue up nearly two months ago and have not had any response and I doubt there will be any forthcoming. So my suggestion would be to take the 15k hit (when it lets you) because I honestly do not know if we will ever be able to change for free.
