IC MOBs Need To Attack Everyone
So I was attacked by a NPC because I got to close to it. While fighting it I got attacked by another player and was killed. It sucks but that is to be expected in IC I guess. What surprised and angered me was the MoB which was standing right next to the guy who killed me didn't attack him it just reset and acted like nothing was wrong. How is it that I get attacked when I was a few meters away from a NPC but someone who is less than 1 meter gets away scott free? Getting ganked while distracted was bad enough but to watch the NPC not attack the person who just ganked me was worse. A little later I was in a group and we were trying to take out a Boss level Harvester when another smaller group attacked us. The Boss stayed focused on us and completely ignored the other players. So here we are trying to fend off the boss while fending off the enemy players and in the course of all that getting even more NPC attacking us. None of which seemed to give a fig about the enemy players. It's kind of immersion breaking to have the bass assed boss attacking everyone in my group but ignoring the enemy players. I mean wouldn't Deadra attack all mortal equally?
I predict what is going to happen is people will lay in wait until someone/group engages a NPC gank them when they are weakened confident that the boss level NPC will not even look in their direction. If this issue is not addressed a new tactic will become standard practice and the QQ will be strong.
