Xbox: Veteran cannot access Normal Dungeons

Hi, I am Veteran rank and although I set my dungeon difficulty to "Normal" every time I access a dungeon it is Veteran rank. I want to go back and get some skill points I missed when leveling past dungeons.
It doesn't matter if I am solo or grouped as leader, the dungeon reverts to Veteran. Do I have to recruit a non-Veteran player to group with and get me into a non-Veteran dungeon? If so, why is there even a "Normal" and "Veteran" choice on the menu? Is this a bug?

texassob✭✭✭by vet do you mean its on the vet setting or its the same vet lvl as you? even if its on normal its gonna scale to your lvl if you are the leader0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Veteran and normal dungeons have different mobs in them. Both (normal or veteran mode) will scale the mobs to the party leaders level.. so you may do a normal dungeon where the mobs are scaled to VR2 (if the leader is VR2). Are you sure this isn't what you are experiencing? The mobs themselves inside will be different on normal vs veteran though. Peel_Ya_Cap_517✭✭✭✭I think you are confused.. The Group Dungeons will scale to the group leader's level. So if you are Veteran Rank 1 and the group leader, the Group Dungeon will be Veteran Rank 1 as well. This does not mean it is a "Veteran" Dungeon, however. The difference between Normal and Veteran dungeons is huge and quite noticeable. The bosses are different, dungeons are longer, etc.
But yes, if you made a lower level player the group leader, it would scale to their level.N64 NA EP0 -
mx5bmw_ESOSoul ShrivenOk, got it. I think you're all correct. Since the starter enemies were VR12 I assumed the "Normal" setting didn't work, but that was the only thing I looked at. It is working as designed then.
