Cannot send mail to certain friends

I realize there are many threads on this already, but considering this issue has existed for a month now and we still have no word on when it will be fixed, I'm adding another one.
It was stated in the past that the developers believed the issue had something to do with spaces in names (I believe gamertags, not sure). I can tell you that spaces in names do not seem to have any bearing:
- I can send mail to a friend with spaces in his name.
- I cannot send mail to another friend without spaces in his name
- I CAN send mail to a third friend without spaces in his name
- None of my friends seem to be able to send me mail (I have spaces in my name).
- One time, one of my friends was able to send me mail, and has never been able to since.
Hopefully this data can help you get on the right track to fixing this, but we would at least like to know the status of this issue, as we have patiently been waiting for over a month now.

I can receive mail from a friend but can't send to anyone. It's extremely frustrating when you try and send some gifts to assist in the leveling of mates but can't send squat! Gotta be fixed, and fast if it's been happening for so long.0 -

Thanks. I'll try this workaround in the interim, but the basic issue still needs to be addressed. I'll report back tonight after trying to confirm if it works for me.
