Last time I played the best pve solo DK was dress with destro stick using impulse and inhale etc...

✭✭It's still totally viable in PVE. With high high dps as well. You don't have to go stam @ all if you prefer magicka. I tested out 2h and it was pretty great damage but all in all a lackluster play style that I just didn't like. The cool thing about DK is you have the option to go either right now and certain class abilities synergize well with either.5 -

The heavy pieces are so you don't get 1-shot in group content. If you're just doing solo content might as well just go all light. The major change is you can no longer drop banners forever from impulse spamming trash packs.5

BlackEar✭✭✭✭✭Magicka is still viable, but the general consensus is 2-handed stamina builds.
Especially as a DK you can rock your socks off with a proper build. Check out deltias gaming or Tamriel Foundry or the forums for new buiilds.

✭✭You'll find with the nerfs to LA you need a healer. Or some heavy armor. Soloing packs of trash mobs in full light by yourself... Probably not very possible without some defensive GDB/hardened armor/igneous shield on your bar.0
