Best Nightblade build for PvE and PvP?

Salrion
Salrion
Soul Shriven
Hello all,

As the name suggests, I'm looking for the best Nightblade dps build for both PvE and PvP.
Im a returning player who has no idea what to do now and so I need some help.

I will most likely be using a bow as my primary weapon and dual wielding for secondary while
wearing medium armor. Any help is greatly appreciated with both attribute points and abilities!

Have you thought about 2h instead of dual wield? I have a wicked magicka build but for stamina I'd say give 2h a try before fully commiting to dual wield. Dual wield isn't bad, I just prefer 2h as I know many do (at least from a PvP perspective). Rally is good to have until you unlock vigor. Having both isn't bad either but its a gamble losing another good ability. I would also suggest ambush and surprise attack. Killers blade isn't useless by any means however, wrecking blow and surprise attack hit hard enough to the point you can just finish them with that. Alternatively, you can use soul harvest as a finisher. It charges fast and if it doesn't finish them it at least hinders their ability to heal.

As far as bow, lethal arrow, magnum shot, venom arrow/poison injection are good choices. I would also suggest having 1 or 2 magicka based utility skills as a magicka dump. Something like piercing mark is good. Helps you hit harder and is great to counter other NB's who cloak a lot. Unless they do what I do, but that's my secret strategy ;)
Hey everyone! Look! It's a signature!

I personally recommend 5 PC heavy and 2 PC medium which will help extensively in pve. Try this against groups of mobs in PvE. Using the unmorphed names to make it easier.

Put the following on your bar and use in this order. Great for clearing large groups or single mobs solo.

    Teleport Strike (assassination)
    Drain Power (siphoning)
Whirlwind (duel wield) spam until health is low
Flurry (duel wield) single target DPS and weave with 1 heavy attack between each use.
Assassins Blade (assassination) (300% damage finisher). When health drops to 25%

Stick with the stamina morphs for class abilities and stack stamina and you should be good. Lots of other skills to compliment but this will give you the bare bones skills to develop the rest.

As to the attributes I would recommend stating (glyphs) in your armor for all stamina and 50/50 health / stamina for your actual attributes. If you feel squishy go a little heavier in health.

i just leveled a nightblade from 1-vr5 soloing most world bosses through vet content etc using 5 medium/2 heavy two handed build with wrecking blow siphoning abilities refreshing path etc. I originally started out dual wield and can say two handed is much better for both survive-ability and dps. With rally and heal morph along with refreshing path and siphoning your HPS is through the roof and your overall dps is pretty huge since your doing dps while your healing unlike other classes.

Hey guys I like this post the advice is awesome never really thought about doing a dual wield nb. Anyone have any thoughts on tanking as a nb. I have the old siphoning build I just feel like I don't do any dog and can't keep my self alive. As far as solo it works, but running vets it's rough. Any thoughts or tips?
