What weapon and armor to use as a templar?

andre.luiz.bandeirapub18_ESO
Hello guys... im planing to be a stam templar, and my main focus is the PVPs, in small and big scales.. So, what combination fit me better??? i want to be well balanced but with a litle more focus at survivabilit ( i have when people focus on me and i die to fast), so should i go for heavy armor for more damage mitigation or medium for more stamina management? Should i go for dual to use the first skill self healin and the whirlwind to stam recover or should i go for 2h for the shield braw and wrecking?? B/S dont realy atract me, but if that was a better option for the reflective spell i could use that... can you guys who have pvp experience help me plz??? and my last question as a Imperial, did any melee skill can trigle my Red Diamond passive skill? or only basic and heavy atacks???. thx !

Honestly, Templars are flavor of the week because of Jesus Beam, and because of that ability, you will be target a lot more when people know that you're a Templar. Personally, I think heavy armor with one hand and shield is the way to go if you want to survive. You being an Imperial will help increase that skill more quickly. But it also seems to me that Imperials were designed to be tanks, as well as Nords. However, you're a Templar and since I haven't lvl'd my Templar further than lvl 7 yet, I couldn't tell you of any abilities that would give a Templar more survivability other than their Restoring Light skill line. As far as melee attacks, I would define that as any weapon attack that isn't a spell or ranged, so basic light and heavy attacks for sure, but I'm not sure if skills like puncture would fall into that category.

I am a Nord templar lvl 14, i use one hand and shield and 3 pieces of heavy armor and 4 of medium, it is a pretty good build, i dont know how good it is in pvp, the lvl 40 guys are always killing me, but in dungeons it is a pretty good build, in my skills bar i have piercing javelin, that thing with the crossbow, healing ritual and some other stuff (i forget the names) and i love it, i hope this post will help u!

hmm medium for weapon dmg, 2handed and S/B is the best combination for melee damage + survivability, otherwise go with bow instead of 2 handed if you're up for ranged dps.

Personally i would max out my max magicka and weapon damage, use Jesus beam and bow, wearing medium armor. It's the most effective build for me. I hate melee ^^

My favourite weapon as a templar is a very large haddock.

Some might scoff at me saying this.. but it has a sturdy bone structure and thick skin.

I hear some people prefer a trout, we you try whacking someone over the face more than twice ith one and they just fly apart.

Haddock is where it is at.

    Hello!,

Bump on this as I just rolled a new Stamina Templar.

I am very curious on this question as well.

Right now I am going 2 Heavy (Shoulders / Chest) and 5 Medium.
    All attributes into Stamina
    All enchants are stamina.

Right now I am debating between 2 handed and Dual Wield.

I do prefer melee combat however I am trying to create a Paladin build (not all Paladins use massive hammers by the way Dual Wield Maces rock!)

    Skills:
1.) Reflective Light (3 person Magicka AOE to start)
2.) Biting Jab (stamina morph) spam
    3.) Blazing Shield
    4.) Jesus Beam
    5.) Restoring Aura
    Ultimate: Shooting Star (Meteor morph)

This gives me a hell of a lot of AOE, Magicka / Stamina balance - strong CC in PVE and an execute.

I don't use really any weapon sills right now however I would really welcome some feedback on the skill usage and to help improve my build.

My goal was to create a Warrior Monk (More aggressive Paladin) rather than a tank.

The idea would be a Heavy armored knight that enemies would fear to come face-to-face with as he slowly walks towards you (A tank DPS).

*Sorry for the RPing there....I got my nerd hat on tonight obviously (D&D ftw)*

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!
