Is Magelight still a must in PvP?

I'm a returning player; Inner Light was a must for every magicka based character at the start.
After the nerf the buff is still amazing but one slot in each bar is a heavy burden!

What do you think?
I'm asking only regarding PvP, for PvE I'm sure it will remain a BiS.

    It can be good for extra damage in big group setting but for solo/small group pvp I wouldnt recommend it.
    Having only 4 active skills on each bar really limits your options imo.

    No good PVPer ever used Magelight in PVP.

    I can't understand how you are saying that PVPer didn't use it in the past.

    I use it.
    1. It prevents being stunned by stealth attacks.
    2. It reduces damage from stealth attacks by 50%.
    3. It increases your crit rating.
    4. It allows you to see hidden enemies at a greater distance, often before they see you.
    Maybe it's only useful for magicka builds though.

    There is still a fair number of people who use it. I say its not a must, but one of a number of possibilities for a sorc bould.

    This is the problem. Players didn't discover the best PVP builds and group synergies until a few months into the game. Unless you are in a low population campaign where all you do is fight gankers, there is no use for Magelight. Barely anyone runs it.

    After 2 months probably people had to discover new builds cause they nerf a lot of stuff.

    I wasn't in a low population server, Auriel Bow EU you know?
    The most populated server were Dr (me) were totally outnumbered and I did 6m ap in 1 month and also emperor, both ganking and AoE bombing. Oh and I'm not a Dk neither a vampire which was Very exploitable back then.
