Attribute Points

Returning to game and curious if most people are still dumping all points into health and enchanting for other stats. Thinking about trying a stamina build this go around so not sure which way to go as far as attributes go.

Thanks

As of 1.6 most people do not dump everything into health. Depending on what you're trying to do you might dump everything into stamina or magicka. I think most people will put some into health and the rest into either stamina or magicka. But tbh the meta hasn't really been set for attributes in 1.6 yet.

Currently yes. It makes sense to build your health because it goes up at +15 instead of +10. With the new update coming live today however, this may change. I heard there were more viable stamina based things on the PTS..? *shrugs*

I know it's not a ton of help but that's mostly because of the update going on right now. Sans update, ya it's all health points and magicka enchantments.

With 1.6, Magicka and Stamina increase damage dealt with appropriate skills. On PTS, I found (through 40 points at least) each point of stamina was increasing my damage by .38 - .42% with weapon skills with diminishing returns.

Just as a clarification, this has always been the case for Magicka and Stamina and their related skills.

The removal of softcaps in 1.6, however, makes it so that your points in these attributes no longer suffer diminishing returns and continue scaling damage up.

I'm not sure what others are doing, but I'm probably just going to aim for a certain health threshold w/ food buffs and then dump the rest into my primary damage stat.

It was exciting to not have an obvious softcap threshold, but I was a bit at a loss on where to put points. For my Templar magicka-based healer I settled on 27-27-8 (if I recall correctly having 62 pts).
