Nightblade Sap Tank gonna be OP with 1.6?

I can say one thin about Sap Essence.
On normal server i run full plate, 1/S and Sap Essence(Spaming). And i have no prob solo/farming 2- 3 grps off mobs in Craglorn (frost), with the same setup on the PST server, i die instently on 1 grp off mobs. Thats the dif from todays patch, to 1.6 patch coming up, so no its not anygod any more.

Sap Tanks will be strong but it won't be OP. Reason being, a Sap Tank sufficiently tanky to survive will hit like a wet noodle.

I don't have an issue with people being really tanky. A problem only exists when a tanky player can also hit like a glass cannon.

The skill does next to no damage. It will have it's place but certainly not be OP in PvP.

in 1.5 magika LA NB is universal in PvP. On one bar burst-dmg 1 target skill (smth like ambush-soulharvest-consealed weapon spam-impale + hysteria for CC and dark cloac for evade) on the onther - sap tank (sap-siphoning attacks-absorb magic-bats). Both with 1&S for perma block. In 1.6 you cannot tank in light.

That skill that replaced haste is trash and its a nerf; i tested it multiple times it will never generate half the dps of normal skills. Grim focus can hit for 11k normal hit, like nearly 20k with perks and stuff if you crit it. Its just impossible to use coz it doesnt work with shields.

2x heavy armor and your tanking...not in 1.6. I'm so glad they changed it so people arent out tanking people in heavy armor anymore. If you still make it work like that in 1.6 then power to you.

Stop crying for nightblade nerfs they are already as messed up as they are. You telling Templars that can heal themselves and DK's that can dps like crazy and tank and have thorny skin +2000 def and Mages that can regen magic so fast and AOE dps like no other have it bad compared to NB's? We been nerfed enough already with the replacement of spraks and haste for those trashy skills and reduction of bow damage and crit damage and now your saying NB's will be OP tanks? lol What damage reduction skill do NB's have to be a real tank or healing abilities that are better than any other class. None. If a NB can tank better than DK's and Temps I would like to see that on FTC stats and not just someone saying so. All other classes have awesome healing abilities and NB's have the broken siphoning skill line. This is how a nerfs happen to a class that doesn't need to be nerfed.

Plus no one has ever been killed by sap...

This. But you get Ultimate from blocking now so... No need to drop it, Sap Tanks will be OP in the respect that they can't be killed, which I'm fine with

Ideally you want sword and board and the last skill in siphon tree, then morph to sap essence and also siphoning attacks, 4th skill in siphon tree , also inner light from mages guild and batswarm if pvp.

Wait what? As far as I knew you only get ult from certain buffs, light attacks, heavy attacks, and using healing spells on someone who is currently attacking someone/something. Never read the part on generating ult while blocking. I'm going to go re-read the patch notes then.

I killed everyone with Sap Essence said no one ever.

Anyways, I'll still be using sword and board in 1.6 and like now, I use it only for the extra armor, extra trait, and another set bonus. I plan on doing my normal LA/HA weaving as i always have. Perma blocking is for noobs.

As far as grim focus goes one morph is a decent morph for PvE NB tanking and the other gives a minor damage buff that would be good in PvP. Since people WILL be LA/HA to gain ult, you can get to the 8th hit fast anyways and get that nice burst damage on top of that. I myself will at least give it a try in PvP before I go bashing it and calling it a "nerf".
