[BUG REPORT] ARMOR STARS STILL NOT WORKING

As noted before, but with no corresponding notation from ZOS that they have seen the issue, the light/medium/heavy stars that give you armor bonuses for light/medium/heavy sets do NOT work. Though they raise your armor rating, melee mobs damage you the same amount. Go with full armor set of any of the three with 0 points committed, and you will get same damage done to you as when you commit 100 points to that star. Gina, please respond that you have seen this issue. Thanks.

One of the number-crunchers believes the hard cap for mitigation is 32500 Armor/Spell Resistance, at 650 per 1% mitigation. ZOS had also mentioned their mitigation formula is logarithmic, which can mean this hard cap changes with level or the mitigation gains decrease as you go higher in Armor/Spell Resistance. Both of these statements are speculation (the former backed up with a little math), so do not assume these to be true.

However, do heed these statements during your testing, as @Xjcon mentioned you may not be receiving any gains from the stars because you have reached the mitigation cap.

Please provide some sample math from your testing and be sure to /bug this in-game. It is fine to discuss these things on the forums, but it is not the intended channel by which to report them.

there are the numbers and the testing.

this has nothing to do with capping, this is just them forgetting to add in champion point bonus armor into the formula.

Edit: I didn't test it with 1.6.4 yet, tho.

Let us know if you're still seeing this issue with 1.6.4. If you are, we'll make a note of it and take a look on Monday.

Yes, it is the same in 1.6.4. Nowhere near the armor cap and 100 pts in any armor star adds not one point difference in damage done by melee mobs.
