Concentration-Light Armor Passive

I think this is really silly. To get any benefit from the last passive you must have a full set. On top of that if more then one person in your raid is wearing 7 light the benefit from the perk will be wasted. Considering this perk used to give you 4-28% spell pen my magic based characters are not happy.

Edit: After 1.6.3

    I agree, it's sad.
[Conspiracy] I am sure, Zenimax did this, so heavy and medium armored people can be even better, by abusing us light armored people and to waste another of our passives (just like the magical resistance passive is not worth it anymore)

Because you have recognized it very good. This is a debuff, that does not count only for you, but for everyone else attacking the target.

Buuut there is hope. They've sad, they are going to buff it a bit. I still don't like, that this is a debuff. So everyone attacking the same target, gets the same benefit for doing nothing. This is selfish, but it's us who are giving a precious passive for the common wealth, not medium or heavy armor.

That passive is actually pretty crap... It only reduces spell resistance by 960... it should be a major debuff, not minor.

That still leaves the issue that it is a debuff. So most tanks worth anything will be hitting the boss with a major debuff (pierce armor taunt) or communicate to the group that a party member should run something like reapers mark.

Yes, but that is only 1 situation. If you PVP solo, it helps you a lot, if it was a major debuff. The minor one, just sucks completely.

For PVP: Medium armor wearers can easily sit at 20-25k spell resist. The only people this will be significant on is... other LA wearers :( Pretty darn useless in its current state and with the incoming wave of medium armor wearers....

Yup, agreed. That little minor debuff and now they make it so that you get 10% spell crit only if you wear full LA now instead of 5 like it used to be... I was thinking of going 5 light 2 medium, i might go 4 light 3 medium now. We shall see. I don't care that much what they do to skills/buffs/debuffs. I simply will adapt to it.

Well considering a whole host of class ablilities and debuffs can't stack, and with changes to some of them, you will see a bunch of major armor/spell debuffs on all targets. I don't really see it as a problem.

As to the solo pvp comment, you will have to build a major debuff into your spec. It really isn't that big of a deal.

They wanted to give LA a buff, but making it competitive with a major debuff would be just silly.

I'd like to see them drop the crit and add +% to spell power like medium armor.

Nah, don't worry. I was thinking the same first.
But 'Full set' means 5. So you're getting the crit bonus, when wearing 5 pieces ;)

Think it should be changed to something like 1.5% spelldmg per piece of light armor.
Debuffs in any form are silly given the current major/minor system.

Indeed. And what are you thinking about the spell resistance passive of light armor ? Do you think, it's worth it ? We're still having less than medium armor. I think, this is only there, because of a lack of creativity.

There are so many head scratching decisions in 1.6 that you really have to wonder if they play the game or read any feedback about it.

They don't. We gave them almost 2 months of feedback in general about some of the leaked changes for 1.6 like staffs scaling of spell power and its impact on surge, and then their purposed changes to surge. Eric Worbel's 'new' concern from our feedback that is going into 1.6.3 about non-pet based magicka DPS for sorcs was raised a month and a half ago in the forums.

I have no idea how they could look at light armor and medium armor and not see a problem, completely tanking the survivability of LA and then nerfing one of the offensive passives is beyond words.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them don't play the game because of their workload, but that doesn't excuse nonsensical changes.

Have no clue why all the sorcerer abilities they have buffed have come with nerfs that completely cripple the class in return. Concentration epitomizes
the lack of direction of light armor and magicka combat in general.

1/4 heavy are is also far to severe with 2/4 giving them better room to adjust shields without being forced to overhaul a particular mechanic. While still making it the weakest armor type.

But if that's the direction they want then they better make sure my spells obliterate leather users and do serious damage to heavy armor because 900 spell resist is done right insulting.

With 7/7 light armor the spell resistance is not too interesting. If you´re using 5 light 1med 1 heavy or 2 heavy + buffs (and preferably are a breton) - it has its use.

Agreed! I will also probably be rocking 5 light and 2 heavy from now on!Some very good players may be able to survive and put out damage in 7/7,but I'm just not that skilled and I can't DPS when I'm dead..

Edit: P'S on a side note- Our spell resistance is now directly linked to the amount of armor we have instead of a base amount. (If I've understood correctly) So does anyone know if the reinforced trait/mundus stone that gives armor/glyphs that give armor ,will also give us spell resistance too?

Except this change benefits no one. The debuff it gives is pathetically small and the passive, on the whole, isn't nearly as good as what it's replacing.

Now this line has two passives that require 5 pieces. This is a big nerf to hybrid builds. I run 4 light 3 medium. This is a huge and uneeded damage nerf. None of the other armor lines have two 5piece requirements so why was it necessary to do this?

With the addition of stamina morphs our classes are truly hybrid now, if anything you should be increasing hybrid-ability not wrecking it. If for some reason you HAVE to do this, counter it by putting better hybrid passives in undaunted to make up for it.
