Concerning Default Key Binding

With 1.6 we'll get at least 2 new key bindings.
One for the CP screen and one for the Crown Shop window.

Now the default key bindings as seen on the PTS would collide with the key bindings I use on live.
So I wonder, once 1.6 goes live will we keep our key binding as we have set them or will they be overridden?

I have good news and bad news. They are the same news:

Major patches historically have reset keybindings and often add-on settings.

Your keybindings will be safe...right after you set them up all over again...

    and worse news...

    For every single character. :|

I do not understand why ZoS thinks we would want different key bindings on different characters. Especially as I thought two people sharing an account was banned by the Terms of Service.

My "favourite" is the new slider to adjust overall size of text, which again only works per character. Who plays their Nord Dragonknight on their laptop but their Imperial Sorcerer on a 40" TV, that's what I want to know.
Guildmaster of the UESP Guild on the North American PC/Mac Server 2200+ CP & also found on the European PC/Mac Server 1700+ CP

These characters are on both servers:
Alix de Feu - Breton Templar Healer level 50
    Brings-His-Own-Forest - Argonian Warden Healer level 50
Hrodulf Bearpaw - Nord Warden Bear Friend & identical twin of Bjornolfr level 50
Jadisa al-Belkarth - Redguard Arcanist looking for a role

    NA-only characters:
Martin Draconis - Imperial Sorceror Healer (Aldmeri Dominion) level 50
Arzhela Petit - Breton Dragonknight Healer (Daggerfall Covenant) level 50
Bjornolfr Steel-Shaper - Nord Dragonknight Crafter & Not-Much-Damage Dealer (Ebonheart Pact) level 50
Verandis Bloodraven - Altmer Nightblade Healer & clone of Count Verandis Ravenwatch (Aldmeri Dominion) level 50
Gethin Oakrun - Bosmer Nightblade Thief & terrible Tank (Ebonheart Pact) level 50

I've set my key bindings at release and when I came back after 1.5 they were still the same.

    @katkat42‌
thanks for sharing that link, I'll try this.

@Wolfsspinne‌ , did you have some time away, by chance? If your update skipped ahead a major patch or two, this may be why.

I think around 1.3 they reset the whole world. It was a huge PiA.

Last character copy from NA to PTS the keybinding remained intact, but that is likely due to the .lua file not changing, I would presume.

Binder is good, but simply should be built in to the core. If you wanted to change the defaults once, each character should then start with your defaults. Customize per character after that if you wish.

It's an irritation at best, but I'd just do a once over to make sure all is well before you attack any difficult content.

Nothing makes your heart drop faster than getting in a situation and hitting a key that does nothing or the wrong thing.

I played like 2 months after release mostly on my laptop, then came back in December and played on my desktop PC.
Shouldn't all those changes still have effected my key bindings?
    Yet they didn't.

Yeah, most annoying thing on PTS...
I use "C" for dodge roll, but by default this opens the character sheet.
So everytime I get in a tight spot on a character with default settings I open the menu, and then die because I'm unable to do anything at all.
