Really, I don't like this, is it me alone thinking that way here?
I just don't know why but skills costing 2000 magicka, people running with 40.000 hp, mass numbers everywhere WTF. why? It was so clean and so perfect before now it's another mass number game.
nope, there was a 6 page thread on this. . .that went ignored and unanswered.
ESO player since beta.
previously full time subscriber, beta-2024, game got too disappointing.

You'll get used to it, after just a few days on PTS it stopped feeling weird to me.
And you get used to numbers in a million. The new numbers still don't bring anything to the table.
They allow the minimal increases brought by the champion system to be visible. You will see your health increase from 15000 to 15001 instead of it remaining 1500 before and after the addition because fractions are not shown.

Ohmygosh, yes, FINALLY! I knew that the game was missing something, and that was it - ability to see my health go up by 0.001%! How did we ever live without it?!
Sorry, my sarcasm isn't really directed at you, just in general I find this extremely silly. Not even most hardcore minimaxers really give a damn about health being 15001 instead of 15000. It looks silly and it's a lot harder to rid than simple 3-4 digits numbers. Only *real* reason I see to do that is to make certain changes less obvious - for instance, if you left the numbers as they are and players suddenly had 1800 health instead of 2400, that would be an obvious nerf and cause an uproar. Now it's a whole lot of new numbers and this isn't as obvious, it's all hidden in the depth of "rebalancing". Not the most honest tactic and using it doesn't do ZOS much honor.
Imagine what the numbers will be after 8 years of expansions.
A progression is suppose to start small and then get larger. Numbers just seem arbitrary when you start counting in the thousands on a freshly made toon. Any increase to those stats from an armor piece or glyph is bloated and so large that you can be certain you are not getting any where near the actual increase the large number would suggest. Whats the point of having a number that appears to be large but is certainly not?
A burrito should not cost a 1000 Gald. Why take one of the cheapest things to buy and start it's cost at 1000?
They can't change it back, because then the global nerf hidden amongst the inflated numbers would be obvious to all, instead of at the moment it's obvious only if you pull out your calculator and a spreadsheet. Results of what a spreadsheet and calculator shows about 1.6 I can't decide if enchanting or light armour is the saddest
