Outstanding Issues after 1.6.2

First of all, good job on making Grim Focus generate charges on damage shields and ultimate gain work on them again.

Here's what is still broken:

Vicious Ophidian
  • Used to have 22 weapon damage (220 in 1.6), now down to 17 (170)
  • Used to have 10% higher base enchantment values, now the same as other non-SO sets.
Infallible Aether
  • Used to have 10% reduced Armour & Spell Resistance after Heavy Attacks, now only 5%.
  • Used to have +83 (830) Heavy Attack damage, now down to 58 (581)
  • Used to have 10% higher base enchantment values, now the same as other non-SO sets.

These sets already aren't BiS in 1.5, and they (the most difficult to get sets) won't even be worth using with all these nerfs.

Second issue:

Critical strikes on damage shields - still impossible.
Siphoning attacks on damage shields - ??? (fix not in patch notes).

Third one:

Momentum remains a "must have" as long as it gives 20% to all physical skills.
What if I want to play a dual wielding assassin, am I forced to pick up 2H solely for the Momentum +20%? If I use a bow, I also won't be able to get that +20% without slotting Momentum or drinking a potion every time I want to snipe someone.

For the sake of diversity, please try to find a workable solution for this.
Else we're going to see every stamina build running around with a 2H in either bar.

    Momentum is definitely a great skill and the devs did a great job with it. Its not 20% more damage, its 20% more weapon power. I would like to see dual wield also get a similar weapon buff because dual wield could use a bit more strength.

    That is one solution. But having the buff exclusively for 2H (or Sorcs with Crit Surge) makes it pretty unfair for players who want to play DW/DW, DW/Bow or Bow/Bow variations.

    Seeing as how they touched on crit bonuses on sets with 1.6.2, maybe this will be next patch? Then again, maybe this is intended... :'(

    OR instead of uniforming the skills, making Momentum buff only work on 2hand weapons. This way, 2hand is go to for small group/single target melee combat, with DW being tuned for more versatility/AoE. I agree that DW needs a bit of love. That first rank skill (Twin Slahes or w/e) could use a change. The bleed HoT isn't really effective and the snare can easily be overridden by a more commonly used skill in class lines. Something like the Reflective Light/Vamp Bane crit buff for Templars (use reflective light, gain major crit buff for 6 secs).

    Bow doesn't need a damage increase skill. Bow should really be doing less damage then ANY melee weapon since IT'S RANGED. Why is this hard to understand? Range abilities should ALWAYS be less effective then melee since it's much easier to range combat then melee combat (in game that is).

    I don't know about 2H being better for single target than Dual Wield... in pretty much every past (MMO)RPG, DW has been the rogue type character's fighting style, and those characters specialize on single target & stealth/CC, not AoE.

    2H on the other hand has been good for both when playing a warrior type character. Not so stealthy though, and less mobile usually.

    About bow, you're right. It shouldn't deal more damage than DW or 2H imo.

    I dont understand this endless battle for constantly trying for balancing the game it will never be balanced and thats it, always some nerfs there and here...

    balance is very difficult to achieve but near balance is way better than elder staff or elder sword&board online.
    Imagine cyrodiil with spread out people, no more close packed zergs, instead small group vs group and 1 vs 1 battles all over the place - UTOPIA!
