Weapon swap Cooldown, keep it or revert it?

Most of the time I "swap" by accidentally hitting the wrong key. Cooldown is just a way to get me killed faster.

    Lose it!
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

ZOS: Weapon swap isn't responsive enough, people are double swapping by accident. Can anyone fix this?

DEVS: Not as such, but we *could* introduce a new cooldown that triggers all the time. It won't fix the responsiveness but you won't be able to double swap EVEN WHEN YOU WANT TO MUAHAHAHAHA.

You're able to set a keybind to switch to one bar and stay there, no double swap.
Remove this damn cool down.. It's the worst thing ever.

So this new weapon swap Cooldown after you swap was removed in 1.5 for a better responsive feel to weapon swap, well guess what boys and girls, it is back. most the time i die pvping is because of this new cooldown after swapping preventing me to swap back. I'm sitting there casting spells on the wrong weapon thinking I'm on the other one. If people were complaining about weapon swap it was probably not during normal play but when crap got laggy in Cyrodiil because of zerg bomb groups. So the issue was never the weapon swap, it was the crappy lag.

I can't figure out how to make this a poll so

Yay - i love this change.
    Nay- I hate this change.
Undecided- still need to test this.

They added hotkeys for each weapon set separately. Use those and it will prevent you from double tapping weapon swap or having problems swapping back.

Please revert this change, it ruins combat with two weapons.

I can usually cast Rally, Annulment, and swap back to my main weapon canceling the animation of both. Maybe thats why they have it.

    revert the change.
having no cd on weapon swap was one of the best features in your mediocre combat mechanics.

Live is actually working pretty well, when there is not lag. PTS weapon swap is horrible.

Yes, the cooldown is back and I don't like it.

I got used to it. But I can't deny, that it was the cause for my death in a duel 2 times. Because I have Surge on my resto staff bar on position 5 and have conjured ward on my destro bar on position 5. I thought, I've swapped to use the ward, but was using surge 2 times instead ^^

It is not the Swap that triggers the cooldown. Every single skill triggers it. Cast a buff out of combat and you will need to wait 0.5-1s before swapping.
That totally sucks if that's WAI, many reasons to switch to a 'buff stick' (to use a term from way back) before switching back to your 'real' weapon.

We shouldn't suffer because a few people like it with the delay. This should be reverted back to 1.5 or atleast make it an option to turn off in the menu.

Why on earth would they add a cooldown to a system that they are working to make feel more responsive? That just seems counterproductive...

IMO, there should be a delay in between each weapon swap. Like 1-2 seconds, to emulate you actually switching weapons.

I actually thought it was just bad server lag/latency.. If it's intended feature, it's just horrible, it feels like my character is following my instructions in very slow motion.

Silence is ZOS' modus operandi. I suppose we can take this as "Working As Intended" (or it's another bug they can't fix so either way it's 'Working As Intended').

    /sigh

It does feel like lag. A game mechanic that feels like lag is not going to be universally popular.
