These days i saw my posts mainly about sorcerers and templars. Few of threads talking about NB pvp in 1.6.X. So , to this question, are NBs still good in pvp in 1.6?
Are NB still good in 1on1 like they are in 1.5 right now ?

Depends on the style of play you prefer, in my opinion. Magicka-based melee NBs got pretty gutted with the switch of Ambush and Surprise Attack to Stamina. I'd say, if anything, Stamina-based NBs got a boost but the jury is still out for me whether it compares to some of the other classes builds.

I've been messing about with a pure Magicka-based NB caster and I've had some pretty fun fights with it. I'm sure a lot will change by the time 1.6 goes live....only time will tell.

I personally get the impression that the other classes got a little more love with 1.6 and I feel a little bit pushed towards becoming a stamina user now. I don't particularly like that because that degenerates our class skills to pure utility because everyone has access to weapon lines and I just don't feel very special using them. There have been some cool changes though, to like Blur for example. But if you always have been a stamina NB then you will probably like the patch.

So which one do you think is better to use for current NBS, pure magic or pure stam build ?
Anyone here has got duel experience that can tell us which class is mots harder to counter which is easy to deal with?

I've been running a stamina build for a while, and the dueling I did on the PTS made me think I'm going to be able to find a very viable build in 1.6. I like every change so far and really think character effectiveness is strictly tied to champion points.

That being said I feel no way gimped on the PTS and my only major struggle is to survive very long fights, which will definitely come with some testing of different builds.

That all depends and is definitely subject to change....perhaps multiple times. As it stands, damage is pretty wonky on the PTS server and hard to get a good judge of what is best. I've been hit by 12k Crystal Shard crits, 25k Wrecking Blow crits, etc. There is some tweaking that needs to be done before I personally can solidify which route I intend to take.

Then what kind of burst damage we have ? I heard large numbers from overlord, crystal shard(Sors) , Jab Biting(Temp), Bugged Molten WEAPON ( i believe it will be fixed soon). However i havent heard any large numbers from NBs' skill

Most of the ridiculously high hitting spells are bugs. I would say our skills are very balanced for what they are doing and that's why you aren't seeing crazy night blade numbers.

Also snipe still hits pretty f'in hard

I've seen some pretty large numbers off the ole trusty Ambush + Surprise Attack combo (for Stamina  ). While dueling yesterday I got ganked by some random DC NB who killed me super fast (I sit at 22k HP) with Ambush + Soul Harvest + Surprise Attack. Couple that with a 2H (Rally buffs all weapon damage...not just 2H abilities) and you're good to go.

The issue with Biting Jabs is that it perma-stuns. I fought Pact Mender a couple days ago, and that build is just annoy. By the time you start the "break free" animation, it stuns you again....not to mention it hits harder each time because of the crit bonus.

I have a feeling Rally won't be affecting other weapon damage soon, and if it does my build will certainly be changing to ensure that its on my bar even if I have used 2h since the game launched.

I certainly hope so! I typically run Magicka based NB, but I built a Stam template just for giggles and yeah, it's pretty silly.

I've been debating on starting a NB in prep for 1.6 and was also wondering how the update changed things for us. I am thinking of going Bosmer for the stamina since, from what I have read, NB's seem to be swinging more towards the stamina build in 1.6.

Magicka melee is not dead by any means. A lot of magicka users are complaining about the changes to a few skills without even giving proper time to test the changes. From what I can tell magicka melee should still be on par with stamina melee

Then what kind of build will you use for NB magic melee build ? I know some of ambush is turned to stam, then any other choice of charging spell can we use to replace ambush ?

That concerns me cuz as a NB we dont have easy access to that brut buff. I dont like havi g to go close up to use sap essense to get it, an aoe

A mixed bag. I had one when the NA characters where on who was a heavy armor, one hand/shield build. He was very tanky and quite difficult to kill 1 on 1, really only died if I fumbled. I made another one using the VR14 template that is more of the stealth assasin, bow, dual wield build. He is great for taking lower health already engaged targets out but was having a hell of a time staying alive once people fought me straight up even one on one. I think it can still be fun to play and will have to tweak the build some. I think health is going to become very important as the burst damage seems to be very high for pretty much everyone. I never dismissed it 1.5 but it was rate second to whatever the main pool I was using for damage.

Yeah I am concerned about the up close fights. I want one that can survive the vet zones. They are so empty so you basically have to solo everything and when you are facing three bosses against one NB, you better have some skills if you want to live. :) I don't want to use staffs as a NB just to survive so I can stay away and deal damage. There has to be a decent build that will allow you to be up close and live. Will have to see what they roll out on the live as a finished product and fumble around till I find something that works. :)

So what do you think us compare to Templars in PVP and PVE?

I had a short while to play earlier today and hopped on my Stamina NB to get some duels in and test some things out. Sadly, I can't say that I could have taken any of the duels seriously. Two different Templars simply spammed Biting Jabs the entire time, effectively stun locking me, and I faced one Sorc that had so many shields up that I could barely see red on his HP bar.

Waiting for your new testing result right now, while I have watched some videos about NB pvp. Have to say , magic melee build suffered a great nerf, its almost no hope to bring it back to the old place like it in 1.5.X.
Maybe stamina build is the only hope for NBs to get a place in pvp, otherwise this class in pvp will again be the deepest one like they are in the release date.

Don't get me wrong, I've always had a lot of fun with my caster NB (Destro/Resto) and the lack of soft caps I've been running with 35k Magicka in template gear....so I would imagine I could do a whole lot better with gear that better suited my build. My damage is nice and I've got a good deal of survivability.

I did like the Magicka Melee build, and I hate to see it go. One could make a Stamina version, but it just isn't the same having to depend on Stam for cc breaks / blocking / rolling etc.

I think NB is in a good place right now, though, so long as they cut back a smidge on some of the things that really stand out (Radiant damage, mega shield stacking, Biting Jabs spam, etc.)

I am not saying that you told us Magic Melee NB is dead. It is me who think its dead according some testing videos. I also dont want to see it gone, however information shows in video really damage my confidence to spellswords. So i think some positive video can inspire me.
