Why is Dark Cloak Breaking here?

This is the dark cloak morph that removes DoTs. On the first attempt at cloaking, the video shows the correct duration of the skill. The next four attempts to cloak shows it breaking prematurely. From then on, the cloak functions correctly. Looking at my combat log it appears I'm being hit with some sort of DoT for 240 or 210. Are some DoTs not removable or is this bugged?

    My guess is that it was more DoT than the cloak removed so it brought you out however I wouldn't put it past ZOS to still not be able to fix broken ability that has been in the game since beta sessions in 2013.

    One cast of dark cloak removes 4 damage over time effects. I must have 2 DoTs on me at most in that clip. Whatever is happening its breaking 4 cloaks in a row, which is potential removal of 16 DoTs right? Some DoTs must not be getting removed properly.

    Both live and PTS tooltips say 4 damage over time effects.

    It depends by the rank, it's 1 dot per rank.

    I experienced lots of that due to latency i guess.
    When i cast a uppercut against someone who cloaks as soon as i initiated it, the blow is beeing dodged but pops him out all the time.
    I assume its like we casted it almost the same time and the game seeks a conclusion for both^^ maybe one of those mobs initiated something when u cloaked.

    Looks like melee is hitting you once you stealth which would explain coming out but that was only a few times other times could been dot latency/bug.

    You think that was bad? Wait over 6 years on a rogue when Blizzard finally decided to fix vanish. Apparently immunity to all incoming attacks as needed to prevent lag from breaking it.

    I don't see that happening here as others would just abuse it to become invulnerable.

    I am guessing lag is the problem there too. Either that or they can't be removed.

    I can confirm Cloak is not working as it is on live. Now whether that is an intended change or not, I can't say.

    But currently you can't use Cloak to dodge anything incoming, without it breaking it. And about 3/4 of the time you take the damage as well.

    Who knows though? I doubt the Devs do, as stealth itself is broke and not achievable 250m or closer to any objective in Cyrodiil.

    I'm fairly certain they said it's not supposed to break in those situations.
