Black screen when pressing "Play" after updating PTS to 1.6

The download just finished after a few hours waiting, but when I click on "play", I get a black screen with the "busy" icon from Windows which doesn't stop loading (apparently it doesn't anyways, the CPU is about 1% if at all).
Restarting the launcher doesn't help either.

I don't get a black screen when starting the normal game, so it's not a problem with my computer setup.

Does anyone know how to solve this?

Hey there @Raygee,

It sounds like this may be an issue with the usersettings.txt file for PTS. Head to Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\PTS and move the Usersettings.txt file to the desktop. Once that has completed, try launching the game again and let us know if that helps!

If that doesn't work, try copying the Usersettings.txt file from your live folder and place it in the PTS folder. You'll need to change one line in there, which is SET Lastrealm from "NA/EU Megaserver" to PTS.

If neither of these steps help, please let us know!

Thanks for your reply, @ZOS_GaryA . When I opened that folder, I noticed the usersettings file was not even in there, just like back in beta where many players weren't able to run the game at all for several weekends because of that missing file. Of course I was one of them since my luck never skips things like that. Since this was more than a year ago, I forgot to check if this file exists..

Anyways, after I put in the one from the normal game and changed the "SET Lastrealm" line, I first could login but got stuck in the loading screen right after.
After restarting the computer, it works now, thanks for your help.

But what I don't know is why it takes about half an hour to actually get in, also travelling from one zone to another takes ages, is that normal on the PTS?
