Error 104 - DownloadError_NotEnoughSpace

I have 55 GB free space on my SSD and yet I keep getting that error when trying to download the PTS. Tried relaunching the launcher but alas.

Edit: I think the PTS is trying to install itself on harddrive c, which is not enough space. How do I switch it to installing itself to D, where my ESO live is at? There is no such option in the launcher.

Edit: Apparently Im not able to install PTS on my harddrive D as it keeps insisting on installing itself on C. It's strange that there is no such option in settings to change the installation path, isnt it common that launchers in general have such a feature?

Check the .ini file. I'm not at home to check but you might find a place in there to change the PTS install directory. Next place to look would be registry.

My understanding is that you can only select the main destination directory/folder for all realms/environments (ie: NA, EU, PTS). And the opportunity to select this is when you first install the game client. Just a guess, you installed Live-NA on your C:\ drive and from here out it will install PTS there unless you re-install the client. I hope I'm wrong though and would check with CS (after resetting your router lol).

Can you not just copy the launcher folder over onto your other hard drive, and run the launcher on that one, choose the option to show the PTS, and download only the PTS through it?

Don't see why that wouldn't work.

Hope so... at one point the client would remember the orig install folder and keep putting files there, but maybe it doesn't anymore. That would be so much easier.

It does. You can also download a fresh launcher, and point it to D: on install. When use that launcher to download PTS, it'll be on D: as well.

Yep, that's the best solution for it!

The unsettled files are about 60GB, so that's what it looks for when the initial installation is started. Once all is said and done, it winds up being ~40GB prior to 1.6. 1.6 may increase these requirements due to the size of the patch.
