Returning player Dragonknight DW.
So I resubbed my account after a really long break.
I am having issues creating a duel wield Dragonknight build and all the builds I have looked at seem to be outdated. And yes I have tried to create my own but I am completely lost. I am currently sitting in Mournhold with all my skill and attribute points refunded. I really need some help please. lol

Well, I did, but deleted it.
All I can say, is if you use class skills, go Light armor. If you use weapon skills, go medium armor. If you want to tank in PvE (notPvP, heavy armor is garbage in PvP right now) use heavy armor.0 -

I have tried looking at the DK skills and use my limited knowledge to think up a dw build, but alas to no avail.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭As stated above, if your mostly casting use Light Armor, if your using Weapons, use Medium Armor. I find that Stamina Skills are much better lately, in fact, my NB hardly ever casts anymore, DW is about all he uses.
My DK is fitted out in Heavy Armor, uses 1Hand/Shield and has a Stick for taking out the trash. I do tend to use a bit more magic on the DK than on the NB. From what I understand, 2Handed is now a viable weapon to use. I was going around with a 2 Hander in a Pug the other day and he seemed quite deadly.
However I rush in close, and wail away on things and they die. Which is why I use Heavy Armor. Plus, your not a Knight if your in Light Armor, not in my mind anyway. I only PvE. I do use the 1H/S skill for Spell Reflection/Absorption, not the Dragon Scales. Get the Standard Ultimate on your bar as soon as possible and get that built up. It's a boss killer in PvE.
I used the Chain skill to peel apart mobs at lower levels so I could focus on one at time, or just have a 2 Mob to take on. I would also use terrain and chain pull mobs up to me that the other mobs had to run around to get to me.
Hundings Rage 5 Piece/Ashen Grip 4 Piece is great for maxing out your weapon damage.Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

✭✭✭Yeah, I really don't see DW DKs that often, in fact I have not even seen a lot of DW DKs period, and iv played since beta, both PvE and PvP, so I really can't offer any good advice for DW DKs besides armor type
If no one wants to help you(which is again weird, and I honestly think an experienced DK should take the time to respond to this, as I know there are experienced DKs reading this) Then I advice just trying it out for yourself.
The build I use is mostly my own creation. The only thing I have taken from advice on these forums is the siphoning strikes and hidden blade. I do just fine with my build(and it's an underdog stamina build too:)) So I suggest you experiment and find what works best for you. The Champion system is coming in just a month, and the game will be VERY different when it does. Find what works for you, and stick with it, it's bound to work out.Edited by Cody on 5 January 2015 22:560 -

✭✭Only thing I can think of is a sort of DoT build with blood craze and unstable flames as bread and butter but it doesn't really make sense as they are stam/mag. I'm not very inventive I guess...0 -

That is actually a good combo to have (a magic attack and a stamina attack) you can use one then the other, and regen will keep those pools restored. I tend to split my bars and use up one side until the attribute is depleted, then the other side and switch back if needed.

I55UE5✭✭✭Cinder Storm and Whirlwind is easy mode in PvE. Heavy Attack weaving with Rapid Strikes is fantastic DPS as well. Have fun!0
