Who is in charge of clearing out the bots? they are doing a horrible job. I am seeing vet ranked bots running around all over the place. reported a bunch in past week and still seeing the same named bots on the loose. GMs claim they are taking care of them but yet they are making their way up in to the vet ranked lvls? watching them teleport around, some even flying/ running through walls. this is a great game. but if the GMs can not get this crap under control. this game is crap. ban them by GUID. not just by accts. GUID forces who ever the bot people are to go buy a new ethernet card that they have to install on there PC. and yes. it is possible to ban GUID. Punkbuster does it.

Doesn't work that way, Ethernet NICs are identifiable by MAC Address (aka BIA) (which is changeable by the end user via software) and the MAC is overwritten by routers (each hop overwrites the MAC address in the frame header with it's own interface MAC) as a packet crosses layer 3 boundaries. So the ESO servers never see the original NIC's MAC address (and MACs are not globally unique, they only need to be unique on their own layer 2 segment).

The only feasible way for the ESO Servers to uniquely identify each client is via an game install key or some other client certificate mechanism, that is until the botters figure out how to write a viable key generator.
