What new content will require you to be of high Veteran Rank?

Didn't see a subforum where this question would fit, but I'm very curious about this nevertheless...

I just finished the Aldmeri Dominion zones, did Cold Harbour and the end of the main quest. I'm Veteran Rank 1 now and get sent to do the other 2 factions stories to gain Veteran ranks, but I don't really like the idea of doing quests in other factions on my Dominion-supporting Khajiit. I really enjoyed the game and I AM looking forward to doing the other alliance quests, but I'd much rather do those on new characters that have a background in those alliances.

No problem, you might say, just roll an alt and go for it! I'd do that in an eye blink, if it weren't for the fact that I have no idea whatsoever what high Veteran ranks are good for as far as future content goes. I believe I read that for Craglorn higher Veteran ranks are advised, but how about other new zones that will be added at some point? How about Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood quests? New dungeons that will certainly get added over time? Do we know anything about that?

Basically, if I can do these things on my VR1 Khajiit without big obstacles, I will immediately roll an alt and start enjoying the rest of the content. If not, I will be in serious doubt what to do, as I'm not a big fan of doing a faction's content on more than 1 character (yet).

I hope someone is able to clear this up for me.

Well no one know for sure, but the idea seem to be they will add new zone and VRs with each major update. Craglorn will increase the VR to 12, but you can enter it at any VR, be it VR1 as yourself, only problem is that mobs will all be VR11+. This will most likely mean that groups running these new zones and dungeons will only accept a minimum of VR8 players.

You can try doing it solo, and might be able to complete the zones, but no way the new dungeons.

As for what each VR gives you, it raises you attributes by 10, increases the soft cap, and allows the use of new armor/weapons.

Hate it or love it, you need to get VR10 to be able to enjoy them a bit normally
