Why are Vamp passives -still- broken?

Death causes them to stop working completely. All of them. It's consistent as well. Death instantly kills any vampire passives every single time.

Why is this still broken? It's been almost a month now. I shouldn't have to log out every time I die just to keep my resistances and movement bonuses as a vampire. It's especially bad in PvP where relogging can take a very long time.

This needs to be fixed. I shouldn't have to avoid PvP because my character is far more vulnerable than he should be due to a bug. As it is now I'm at such a disadvantage that it's not worth playing the PvP portion of the game.

I realize that vamp gives me certain weaknesses, but this is far beyond that. One death renders me just as vulnerable as a lvl 1 vampire with no damage mitigation, resistances, or movement bonuses and extremely stunted attribute recovery that should be mitigated by passive abilities.

I get that the game is relatively new, but it's been out long enough that glaring issues like this should have been fixed by now. It's been a month now and we're beyond the point that 'new game bugs' can be used as an excuse for it.

An entire skill line being broken is a big problem that should be a high priority and should have been addressed by now.

Because it takes time to write patches and test them, not to mention anytime there is a patch, everyone comes on here with pitch forks and flips out that they had to download something to login.

If they do maintenance, again people are here with pitch forks and torches, ranting and raving like a bunch of lunatics about how they can't play because the server was down for maintenance.

Everyone wants fixes but they turn into crazed banshees anytime they do actually try to fix something.

They should pick a better day for maintenance. Friday is one of the worst possible days to do that sort of thing. The only worse days would be Saturday and Sunday.

They would get a lot less complaints doing it on Thursdays. People are going to complain no matter what, but the volume of complaints would decrease by doing scheduled maintenance during the week on Wednesday or Thursday. Complaints regarding the timing of the scheduled maintenance is justified considering Friday is one of the most common days off in the server region and that's a well known fact. They are inconveniencing a large number of potential players, and having a game shut down on one of the days you're most likely to have off on a regular basis is a good way to have players drop a subscription and move on to other games that fit their schedules.

Why pay a subscription on a game that doesn't work for half of one of the few days you're likely to actually have time to sit down to play it? The number of people affected by the current schedule is a lot more than it would be on any other day of the regular week.

Anyone who complains about downloading an update patch with any game that has an online connection in this day and age is a moron. Especially in something like an MMO where regular updates and patches are to be expected. Complaints of that nature should simply be ignored. I've not actually seen any such complaints though, so I doubt it's the issue you're presenting it to be. I'm sure there are a few such complaints from idiots, but not a swarm of mass posts and rage from a great many players.

Regardless, there has been plenty of time for them to fix this issue. It's a well known bug and the fact that it essentially breaks an entire skill line should give it a high priority. It's a bit more than a minor issue, especially given the large number of vampire players in the game.

If they've got time to put out an addon with an entire new zone and game modes, then they have had the time and resources to fix this.

Bugs that affect a large portion of the players and break entire skill lines should be addressed before adding new content is a priority. Fix the game first, then expand it.

I'm not saying it has to be perfect and 100% bug free first, but a broken skill line that affects a large portion of the game's population is a big enough deal it should take priority over adding new content.
