Question about runes on the NA server post Patch :)

Hi hi USA... 
I read that you got the patch first, and If I am not mistaken, runes drops were supposed to be adjusted.
Could some of you confirm or deny that theirs are now more runes (especially in VT areas), and less essence drops?
I'm going insane on this map, to gather the runes I want, but there seem to be around 20 nodes or so only on the entire map
