My friend who is doing the remainder of the crafting that I do not is needing hide, not rawhide scraps. I've been trying to look up information about it and getting nowhere. Can someone let me know a good place to hunt for this along with monsters and whatnot please. Currently an archer around level 17. Thanks in advance

There should be 1 fairly big public dungeon [most are small and questless] in each zone [like crow's wood] with clusters of rapidly respawning, weak mobs. Maybe they are animals that drop hide?
Well, generally I often buy mats from guild store or someone on /zone. If you really don't have money, there are some netches and kaguotis around Serk in Deshaan. However, you forgot the most important thing - what alliance?

I think hide starts dropping when you get to Deeshan ...

I am in that map as well, where do I go? I havn't explored that much yet but I am there non the less.

You'll possibly find it in the harder areas in your zone, and you'll for sure find it in the next zone. It'll drop on enemies that are the same level as the gear it can craft.

Ok cool, any particular region on the map you can describe if I was to just waltz over and pull it up?

In deshaan I haven't encountered a single tier 1 material - all netches, kaguotis and other nixes drop hide, all fibrous plants are flax or cotton and every ore node is either high iron or orichalcum. I suggest to kill kaguotis in order to farm. There's nice place near darkshade dungeon and generally southern deshaan.
