Suggestion: researching set bonuses

Two ideas here, both interrelated. The first is that after crafting a full set at any set crafting location, the player should be able to research from those items in order to learn how to craft the set bonus at any regular crafting location.

Second: Crafters should be able to research the set bonuses from non-craftable sets (the sets that can only be found through loot drops) in order to learn how to create those sets at crafting stations.
PS4 / NA

Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

Interesting ideas. Personally I prefer the way it is.

    1) I think the reason you can make set items at locations is the location, not the skill, so trying it somewhere else wouldn't work.

    2) If you could craft dropped set items, then the point of them being rare since they fall from drops would be mute as people would start making them

Now, what would be interesting, and I have no idea how you would balance this, would be once you hit a certain level of skill and have the right ranks you could design your own set (which would likely be not as strong as dropped sets) limited to one set grouping per character. Though that I would suspect would ruin the uniqueness of sets (are they really that unique anyways?)

Why do you feel that drops should be inherently better than crafted sets?

    1. would be a nice quality of life fix for crafters. It really make sense.
