Ultimate use

Why do skills that require only low amounts of ultimate power take all I have when they fire off? If that is the case why not have all skills be the same flat number?

It may be a bug; the sorcerer lightning ultimate is a toggle and it SEEMS to work properly, using just as much Ultimate as I burn, then shutting off and leaving me with ultimate to burn later.

Dont know about your ultimate ability, but my Dragonknight Standard of might can overcharge to 500%. I have absolutely no idea if it is 5 times as effective then, but that would be nice. Using the ability drains it to 0. I believe the Ultimates are supposedly so powerfull that you shouldnt use them that often, hence their charging mechanic. If you're saying that using Ultimate ability number 1 drains the ultimate of the Ultimate ability number 2 I think it is because of that mechanic as well. edit: Also, I dont think ultimate is separate between abilities, same ultimate pool.

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

I would like some more info on this too. Been trying to find something but its not as easy as it would seem. I've heard that ults are more powerful the more ult points it uses, but i have no proof of this.

Just do like me, and use your ultimate by mistake while trying to loot really fast (press E to open the corpse, then R to loot everything...except you didn't notice that the corpse didn't open, so you use your ultimate instead) :p

I would think this is intentional and Ultimates are intended to work as a "charge-up" attack, not an ability that can be used willy-nilly provided you have x-amount of y-resource.

If it wasn't a charge system, I'd imagine Templars would just be able to build up to max UT and just become a whirlwind of death with the Aedric Spear Ultimate attack.
