Anyone wish there was a way to do this?
Perhaps ZeniMax wants to avoid anything that could have the epeen effect (see '1v1 me noob' and '2200 arena rating, do you even lift').
I feel like it would be fun to try my build against all the interesting combinations I've seen so far in a less chaotic, focused setting. I've wandered through Cyrodil, off the beaten path, looking for a duel scenario. It's just thrilling to know you're matching up on even footing against another human being.
Cyrodil is awesome, don't get me wrong. I really, really like the way they did RvR. I just want something more.
What about an arena? Hold up, guys, not a typical arena. An arena with leaderboards for the competitive scene, not visible MMR (ZeniMax seems to like leaderboards), and a slightly larger map. An arena without a system of necessary gear enchanted with PvP stats.
All three factions could enter. Without battlegroups, home servers, and a way for the egotistical *** to call out random people on their arena rating by inspecting, it would be safe and healthy for the game.
Could open the door for unique game modes with the systems ZeniMax already has in place. Different game modes, objectives, a skill line, even a MOBA map could be made relatively easily.
