Thats right. I said it.

Still in the starting zone (dagger fall, not the tiny islands).

What do I do? I wonder around collecting resources, finishing random quests, starting new ones I find on my travels. I don't go in any one direction, I just wonder around.

I have to kill angof so I am in his catacombs but even then I just wonder around slaying zombies and looting crates and stuff ...

Its taken me a month for this zone. I am so lazy and so slow. Id rather just explore and be like "oooooooooo ruins, lets go!!!!" then "quest A, B, C ... next zone"

I think i'll hit level 50 some time in 2050.... LOL

The character I play with my husband has just arrived in Betnikh ... My highest level character (level 10) is just recently arrived in Auridon. I think there are plenty of us taking moonlight strolls on various beaches and checking in with M'aiq to see what advice he has for us today. Why hurry if your purpose is to savor the journey?

Friends hit that "VR 1/2" level and suddenly I had the urge to go fishing, contract Sanies Lupinus, and revisit old areas to work on quests I had missed or had been bugged.

I spend some time gathering, visiting different guild shops, and selling blues/purples I have.

I listen to the NPC dialogue, and search for NPCs in need of help - ie Bandits and Merchants, NPC Mages opening portals to Oblivion, travelers in need of a fire, or random strangers looking for help.

Hell... I sat by a bugged NPC doing /ritual for 20 minutes and convincing other players to do the same.

Slow it down... enjoy the scenes. See what the world has to offer.

    It has been great.

There are others like you. We hide in the shadows, fearing the scorn of the speed-levelers. I personally am one of those types who can't leave a zone until all completion achievements in it are done, all the quests, all the skyshards, cave explorer, all the POIs, etc. (On the other hand, my Mage's Guild rank is great from all the blue books I've found.)

Don't let the speed-levelers get you down. I suspect we're having more fun than they are!
I have just told you more than I know.

Yea, I'm the same way! I'm level 20 with a /played of over 2 days... Seems like a lot of people can hit 50 in less than the time it's taken me to get to 20. I have to do all the achievements, explore everything, do every single quest, listen to all of the dialog, gather resources, craft, do all of the dungeons, discover everything this game has to offer, etc... I have to do all of this in every single zone I go through. It's how I tend to play every game I play.

I just now left Glenumbra, at level 19. I've barely even scratched the surface on the next zone, Stormhaven. I figure I'll hit 50 by the time the speed-levelers have worked out all the kinks on the higher level content.

If you do every single quest and get every skyshard it will take longer but you'll be better off in the end. Don't worry, the game just started...

    - make sure your doing your stats and skills correctly, that way you can quest on the fly without having to wait for other players to help you kill stuff..

    - for the first 25 levels your bag will always be full so you either have the option of breaking down all equips for crafting materials or selling it directly to the npcs
    I'm outta here

I've been playing since the 5 day head start, and still haven't passed level 11. :'( But for me it's not slow leveling. I just haven't figured out a main yet. I rerolled about 9 times now. I think my current guy is the one though. Breton Fire Mage.

So... I play this game with my brother. I play MMO's relatively slowly anyway. But... me and TES have history. I know how to play the hell out of a TES game. And there is only one proper way to do it. Load up on a million quests, and never do any of them until half the world map has been thoroughly explored. THAT'S how you play a TES game.

My brother doesn't seem to get it. He's just pushes through crap - he never knows what's going on with the story, and he doesn't care. All the time he asks me, "I don't understand what I'm supposed to do here." To which I can only reply, "You should have paid attention to the dude when he gave you the quest."

If I were playing this game myself, I would still be in Glenumbra. And this is with the 5 day head start. I would still be in Glenumbra, no question.

I'm lvl 39 right now, and in the Alik'r Desert. Even though I've only missed out on a small handful of stuff, I've done a lot of unnecessary speed reading to keep up, and I do have a few gray quests here and there that are driving me absolutely up a wall.

I refuse speed reading as well :)

I would like to be the one lost in books, then they attack me.
to the person who said that in general chat.

A book said of a disciple, I wish he had not become lost.
I hope they bury mysterys, mystorys, miserys, in the mages guild.

    in the librarys of glenumbra.

I'm the same way, because this isn't my main game right now. I'm still playing FFXIV for end game, this is just like a single player game to me atm. I haven't PVPed at all, i'm only level 18, having finally left Glenumbra this week. I collect so much crap, my inventory is constantly full, but I wouldn't play any other way.

    Enjoy, I say.

I just hit lvl 11 and that's with 5 days early access and having been in PTS so I should have had that "advantage". :)

I love taking my time though. I rushed through content in testing mostly to avoid spoilers and even then I made it to 32.

VR 10, hmmm, maybe perhaps by the time my little one to be is in college. But doubtful.

Im only level 29 and I've been playing since 5 day early access. I listen to the quest givers, read books, explore, and generally appreciate my settings. The ESO game world is glorious. Im soaking it all in.

I dont understand how people can speed level. Why play an MMO, a TES MMO, if you're not actually going to enjoy the ride.

The journey is the game, not the destination.

Been playing since 5 day early access. Only level 29...for some reason I seem to end up doing quests 5 levels higher than me all the time. I run through all the cities trying to find quests closer to my level but seem to stay behind in levels according to the quests I keep doing. I am currently on level 34 and 35 quests and I'm only 29. I've been exploring and getting all of the shards but can't seem to catch up in levels to the quests I am currently on. Getting frustrating.

Fits me greatly as well! I think I've spent first 3-4 days of early access remaking my 3-4 characters (main+alts I will eventually play) until I was completely happy with their outlook and names ;)

  • merwanoreb17_ESO
Why rush to max level, when you hit max level it usually turns into a boring grind with no more story lines or anything that is truly interesting. That is why I always take my time with the leveling part of MMOs. Because I have always found raids and dungeons to be a boring affair.

I pity people who rush past like 90% of the game, then starts complaining there is a lack of end game content... sigh.

I'm taking my time as well, and enjoying it very much.
I hunt, explore, craft and quest and as a consequence I level. I'm not a speed leveller, but I do think that levelling is too easy.

I think it's good. Not so easy that you are invincible, but not so difficult that it's not fun. Like others in this thread, I do a lot of wandering, and it's great that the things I craft or loot are actually useful for a good bit of time.

I don't understand why people try to level up as fast as they can; I suppose some people simply prefer big numbers to immersion.
